There are so many adventures to be had in Baoshan District, but venture farther afield and you'll find even more magic. Arrange a set of wheels and you can cruise around the greater area at your own pace. Add these awesome destinations to your to-do list:

• Head to Hangzhou for an excellent sightseeing adventure. Approximately 110 miles from Baoshan District, it's home to tons of cool attractions, including West Lake.
• Next stop? Suzhou, which is around 50 miles away. Shantang Street is one local hot spot you shouldn't miss.
• Huangshan Mountains is about 210 miles from Baoshan District and is one of the region's most spectacular nature spots. Go for a walk around and enjoy the fresh air.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in China, then you'll likely need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence in order to rent a car. You should also note that if you do need an IDP, it won't be valid on its own. You'll be asked to show your current license your passport and other forms of documentation as well.
