Car Rental Bolívar

After you've been to all of the well-known attractions in Bolívar, there's a lot more to explore in the region. Pick up the keys to a rental car, throw your bags in the trunk and hit the road. We've pulled together some road trips we're confident you'll enjoy:

• You'll discover San Felipe de Barajas Castle and many other amazing sights in Cartagena. From Bolívar, it's approximately 65 miles away.
• Why not see the wonders of Santa Marta too? Unmissable attractions in this happening city include Rodadero Beach. Santa Marta is 45 miles from Bolívar.
• Riohacha Beach is approximately 130 miles from Bolívar and is one of the region's most gorgeous nature spots. Go for a walk around and enjoy the fresh air here.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Colombia, then you'll likely need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence in order to rent a car. It's also important to note that if an IDP is required, it won't be valid on its own. You'll be asked to show your current license your passport and other forms of identification as well. Lastly, make sure the credit card you used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your license and passport. Some added requirements to rent a car internationally are:

• Age restrictions: You'll need to be 25 or over in most countries to rent a car. If you're younger than that, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of cars you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Make sure you read the rules and regulations before getting behind the wheel. You typically can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or go off-roading with a rental vehicle.
