Car Rental Canaã

Once you've checked out all of the fabulous sights in Canaã, there's a lot more to explore in the region. Grab the keys to a rental car, throw your luggage in the trunk and hit the road. We've come up with some drives we're confident you'll enjoy:

• Head off to Belo Horizonte for a fantastic sightseeing adventure. Roughly 40 miles from Canaã, it has lots of great attractions like Mineirão Stadium.
• Next stop? Ouro Preto, which is around 80 miles away. Tiradentes Square is one local highlight you won't want to miss.
• Get into nature and take in the serenity at Serra da Mantiqueira. You'll find it about 180 miles from Canaã.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Brazil, then you might need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence to be able to rent a car. Also consider that if you do need an IDP, it has no validity on its own. You'll be asked to show your current license your passport and other forms of documentation as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card you used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your driver's license and passport. Some added requirements for international car rentals are:

• Age restrictions: You need to be 25 or over in most countries to rent a car. If you're younger, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of cars you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Be sure to read the fine print before driving away. Usually, you can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or on off-road areas with your rental car.
