Car Rental Old Town Zürich

When you've covered all the fabulous attractions in Old Town Zürich, there's plenty more to see in the surrounding region. Pick up the keys to a rental car, throw your bags in the trunk and take to the open road. We've come up with some road trips we know you'll enjoy:

• Basel is roughly 45 miles from Old Town Zürich. Famous sights like Basel Zoo deserve a place on your must-see list here.
• About 110 miles away, Lausanne is also a favorite with wanderers. Make time to check out Olympic Museum while you're here. It's one of the reasons people love staying a while in this vibrant city.
• Visit Flower Clock to feel grounded in nature. Take a picnic to enjoy or just chill out in the fresh air. From Old Town Zürich, it's 140 miles away.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Switzerland, then you'll likely need to acquire an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country to be able to rent a car. You should also be aware that if you do need an IDP, it has no validity on its own. You'll have to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of documentation as well.
