Car Rental Dogok-dong

When you've ticked off the great attractions in Dogok-dong, there's a lot more to see in the region. Grab the keys to a rental car, throw your bags in the trunk and get out on the open road. We've come up with some drives we know you'll love:

• You'll find Jeonju Hanok Village and loads of other interesting attractions in Jeonju. From Dogok-dong, it's approximately 110 miles away.
• Situated 110 miles away, Gangneung is also a hit with travelers. Be sure to take in Jeongdongjin Beach while you're in town. It's one of the reasons people love staying a while in this colorful city.
• Get out into the outdoors and appreciate the serenity at Gwangalli Beach. You'll find it roughly 200 miles from Dogok-dong.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in South Korea, then you'll likely need to acquire an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence to be allowed to rent a car. Also consider that if an IDP is required, it has no validity on its own. You'll be asked to show your current license your passport and other forms of identification as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your license and passport. Some additional requirements for international car rentals are:

• Age restrictions: You need to be 25 or over in most places to rent a car. If you're younger, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of vehicles available to rent.
• Driving limitations: Make sure you read the fine print before driving away. You typically can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or off road with your rental car.
