There's so much to do in Egong, but head farther afield and you'll find even more magic. Grab a set of wheels and you can roam around the surrounding region at your own pace. Add these awesome places to your list:

• Make your way to Macau for a fantastic sightseeing experience. Around 65 miles from Egong, it's home to lots of great attractions such as Ruins of St. Paul's Cathedral.
• Your next pit stop? Make it Guangzhou, which is around 90 miles away. Canton Fair Complex is one local hot spot you won't want to miss.
• Venture into the outdoors and take in the serenity at Danxia National Park. You'll find it around 180 miles from Egong.

If you don't have a driver's license issued in China, then it's likely you'll need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence to be allowed to rent a car. You should also note that if you do need an IDP, it has no validity on its own. You'll need to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of documentation as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your driver's license and passport. Some additional requirements to rent a car internationally are:

• Age restrictions: You need to be 25 or over in most countries to rent a car. If you're younger, it might still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of cars you can rent.
