When you've checked out all of the great attractions in Granada, there's more to see in the surrounding area. Collect the keys to a rental car, throw your bags in the trunk and take to the open road. These are some road trips we know you'll enjoy:

• You'll find Cuauhnahuac Regional Museum and countless other amazing attractions in Cuernavaca. From Granada, it's roughly 35 miles away.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Mexico, then you may need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country to be able to rent a car. It's also important to note that if you do need an IDP, it won't be valid on its own. You'll have to show your current license your passport and other forms of identification as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your license and passport. Some additional requirements to rent a car internationally are:

• Age restrictions: You need to be 25 or older in most countries to rent a car. If you're younger, it might still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of vehicles available to rent.
