Nairobi West is full of surprises, but don't limit yourself to one place. Arrange a set of wheels and hit the road to see what's in the surrounding region. Here are some great options:

• Make your way to Nakuru for a fantastic sightseeing experience. Approximately 90 miles from Nairobi West, it has lots of cool attractions like Lake Nakuru National Park.
• Next stop? Consider Nyeri, which is around 65 miles away. Nyeri Golf Course is one local draw card you really shouldn't miss.
• Get into the outdoors and breathe in some fresh air at Tsavo East National Park. It's 150 miles from Nairobi West.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Kenya, then you'll likely need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence in order to rent a car. You should also note that if you do need an IDP, it won't be valid on its own. You'll be asked to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of ID as well.
