Car Rental Old Town

There are many exciting adventures to be had in Old Town, but venture farther afield and you'll find even more magic. Grab a set of wheels and you can meander around the surrounding area at your own pace. Add these awesome drives to your to-do list:

• You'll find Cours Mirabeau and loads of other intriguing sights in Aix-en-Provence. From Old Town, it's roughly 45 miles away.
• Located 90 miles away, Avignon is also a favorite with wanderers. Set aside time to take in Palais des Papes while you're in town. It's one of the reasons people love visiting this buzzing city.
• Get into the great outdoors and take in the serenity at Mont Blanc. You'll find it roughly 190 miles from Old Town.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in France, then you'll likely need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country in order to rent a car. Also consider that if you do need an IDP, it won't be valid on its own. You'll have to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of identification as well. Lastly, make sure the credit card used to book the rental matches the name on your driver's license and passport. Some other requirements to rent a car internationally are:

• Age restrictions: You need to be 25 or over in most places to rent a car. If you're younger than that, it might still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of vehicles you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Make sure you read the fine print before getting behind the wheel. You typically can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or on off-road areas with your rental car.
