• You'll discover China and North Korea Friendship Bridge and lots more amazing sights in Dandong. From Shen He, it's around 100 miles away.
• Approximately 65 miles away, Benxi is also popular with travelers. Make sure you get to Dashi Lake while you're in town. It's one of the reasons people love visiting this buzzing city.
• Yalu River Park is approximately 130 miles from Shen He and is one of the region's most spectacular nature spots. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the fresh air here.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in China, then you may need to acquire an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country in order to rent a car. You should also be aware that if an IDP is required, it has no validity on its own. You'll be asked to show your driver's license from your home country your passport and other forms of ID as well.
