• Tianjin is 75 miles from Yamenkou. Famous sights like Tianjin Eye should be at the top of your list while you're in town.
• Your next stop? Zhangjiakou, which is around 90 miles away. Wanlong Ski Area is one local hot spot you shouldn't miss.
• Get into the great outdoors and inhale the fresh air at Beidaihe Beach. You'll find it approximately 180 miles from Yamenkou.

If you don't possess a driver's license issued in China, then you might need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country to be able to rent a car. You should also note that if an IDP is required, it has no validity on its own. You'll have to show your current license your passport and other forms of identification as well.
