Blue Oyster Beach Villas is a small complex comprising six individual villas located right on the beach in the well-known resort of Platanes, Rethymno. This exclusive complex is designed to offer unforgettable holiday moments and comfortable accommodation in an ideal setting for relaxation by the sea, with convenient access to all amenities.



Platanes is only 5 km from Rethymno town and provides everything you may need for a relaxing holiday, including a variety of restaurants, cafés, shops, bars, supermarkets, pharmacies, medical services, and ATMs.



Blue Oyster Beach Villas is an excellent choice for families, friends, couples, and even elderly guests seeking direct beach access without the need for a car.



Each of the six villas features 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.



Upon entering the villa, you'll find a cozy living area on the left and an open-plan, fully equipped kitchen with a dining area on the right. French doors lead to the terrace, furnished with comfortable patio seating and a dining table where you can enjoy meals throughout the day under the shaded pergola. Next to the private 25 sqm pool, you'll find umbrellas and sunbeds.



On the ground floor, there is a twin bedroom and a shower/WC. An internal marble staircase leads to the upper floor, which includes another twin bedroom with an en-suite shower/WC and a lovely veranda with patio furniture, offering beautiful views of the Cretan Sea. On the lower level, there is a third twin bedroom, another shower/WC, and an open-plan space with a table tennis setup.



All bedrooms are individually air-conditioned and equipped with modern plasma TVs. The twin beds in every room can be converted into a double bed with an additional mattress provided.



The Area



Platanes, situated 5 km east of Rethymno, is an attractive holiday destination known for its long, sandy, well-organized beach with plenty of water activities. The main road running through the center of Platanes offers all essential amenities, including shops, bars, restaurants, and entertainment options.



In Rethymno town, guests can enjoy all the facilities of a vibrant city, including the historic Venetian port, the Fortezza Castle, and the renowned Rethymno nightlife.

Just Perfect!

Everything was perfect, the location, the accomodation, the cleanliness, the facilities and the staff. Everything you need is nearby and although we had a car you didn’t necessarily need one. Plenty of restaurants, shops and supermarkets in the area. Beach is well maintained and lovely little beach/snack bar. Couldn’t ask for more. Will definately recommend and rebook. The hotel next door is also worth checking out. We had a lovely breakfast one morning and dinner one evening. Top quality but very relaxed. 5 stars all round. Maybe a couple of loungers on the top terrace.

Die Villa ist direkt am Strand. Vor der Terrasse mit eigenem Pool hat man einen atemberaubenden Blick aufs Meer. Innerhalb von fünf Gehminuten gibt es tolle Tavernen.

Sehr schöne Ferienvlla direkt am Strand

Leider liegt neben Villa 1 direkt ein Hotel. Da soll jetzt ein Sichtschutz gebaut werden damit man von der höher gelegenen Terrasse nicht direkt in den Privatbereich schauen kann. ansonsten alles super und freundlich. Gute Restaurants zum Abendessen direkt in der Umgebung.

Villa 1 am Strand von Rethymno , kein Auto nötig

Die Villen 1 + 2 sind direkt in erster Reihe zum Meer gelegen und haben die schönste Aussicht+Lage. Fussläufig zu Restaurants, Bars und Supermärkten und insges. ruhig ist die ges. Anlage. Leider wird nicht erwähnt, das an die Villa 1 ein Hotel angebaut wurde vor drei Jahren. Alle Fotos zeigen die neuerbauten Villen bevor das Hotel da war! Von den Hotelterrassen blicken oft Gäste neugierig auf die Terrassen u den Pool der Villa. Die obere Terrasse, von wo man einen wunderbaren unverbauten Blick auf das Meer hat, grenzt direkt an die Bar des Hotels nebenan. Schlafen mit offener Terrassentüre und ohne zugezogene Vorhänge ist nur für Leute geeignet, welche sich nicht durch Dauerbeschallung (war nicht super laut) sowie die Beleuchtung des Hotel, (die die untere und obere Terrasse gut erhellt) und neugierige Hotelgäste, gestört fühlen. Wer privacy möchte, muss eher die Villa 2 buchen. Giorgos betreut alle Gäste und Villen super gut, ist total nett u. hilfsbereit u. spricht fließend deutsch u. ist ständig vor Ort. Unsere kaputte Kaffeemaschine wurde innerhalb 30Min durch eine nagelneue ersetzt. Absolutes weiteres Plus: es gibt einen täglichen Putzservice für die Villen, der im Preis enthalten ist. Wir können die Anlage der "Blue Oyster Villas" auf Kreta empfehlen.

Excellent location; nice accommodations

My family and I stayed here for one week. House is spacious with excellent views of the beach (we had villa 1 with direct view of the sea). Fantastic location for walking to restaurants, stores, and long walks on the beach. Bedrooms and beds very comfortable. Good have better bathrooms (the hardware and cabinets in not the greatest of shape) and kitchen sink was not functional. Management was VERY accommodating and responsive. Impressed with their professionalism.

Toller Urlaub

Das Haus liegt ruhig gelegen direkt am Strand, der Pool ist perfekt und in wenigen Minuten ist man „im Ort“, der zwar nicht viel zu bieten hat, aber in dem man jeden Abend lecker und günstig essen kann. Wir sind aber auch öfter mit dem auswärts ein paar KM gefahren, es gibt eine Menge in näherer Umgebung. Das Haus ist super in Schuss und es war ein toller Urlaub. Besonders die „gute Fee“ Geourgios (deutschsprachig) ist immer in der Nähe, wenn was gebaucht wird. Trotzdem gab es ein paar kleine Kritikpunkte: - direkt an Villa 1 ist ein Hotel angebaut, auf SZ-Höhe ist die Bar / Lounge. Das ist auf den Bildern nicht zu erkennen. In der Hochsaison kann das sicherlich laut werden, so war es ok. Die Bilder sollten da fairerweise mal aktualisiert werden - eine Terrassentür ließ sich nicht abschließen - die Spülmaschine hat das Geschirr nicht sauber bekommen (das war wirklich nervig) - ab Nachmittag am Pool keine Beschattung mehr möglich (und wir haben eine sehr heiße Woche erwischt) Insgesamt aber wirklich super, wir kommen wieder :)

The pool, the location (close to Rethymno, restaurants and the beach), the ping pong table :) You could provide some basic stuff (some detergent, washing cloth etc), as we had to buy absolutely everything, we did not find anything in the villa except toilet paper. Also, the host promised to visit with some travel info and he never did.. we managed, but this was not in line with the usual hospitality we were used to in Greece.. The door of the bedroom downstairs did not close (you should fix it)

Very nice villa, pool, perfect location.

Villa and location as described. Villa clean and comfortable, well equipped. Very pleasant staff, Meanwhile there is a building(hotel) at the right side of the villa, but it wasn't distracting at all. The access road to the complex is at times very(!) narrow.
