Embleton Spa Hotel
5/5 Excellent
"We had a lovely one night stay. We were warmly greeted and our room was spacious, up quite a few stairs so beware if you have heavy cases. We enjoyed a swim in the pool and used the hot tub. A well equipped gym was also available. The pool was very clean and a pleasant temperature. These facilities were all included in the room price but there is a limited timetable when you can use the pool due to lesson and member sessions.
We ate dinner at the hotel which was very tasty and well presented. Prices were average for the places we stayed this year. There was a good menu choice including specials. Before dinner we sat out in the terrace deck enjoying the beautiful views and peace. It was also entertaining to watch the car park comings and goings of children arriving for swimming lessons. This does mean parking could be difficult if guests arrive at the same time lessons are happening.
Breakfast was delicious, ordering your hot meal choice the day before. Cereal and toast were also available. We slept well, although the bed was firmer than I am used to. The bathroom was clean and the shower worked well.
I would recommend this hotel to others and would stay here again. "
