It was great to have a rural area to stay and the view was amazing. The host was even kind enough to get a gift for our 1 yr old grand daughter's birthday.The host speaks German, but with the google translator it was very easy to communicate and he was extremely helpful. "We loved our 2 nights here. While we chose the location for its proximity to Lucerne, Sarnen was a delightful surprise. The walking path into town was a fave and we enjoyed exploring. The apartment was well-equipped, including tons of pantry items and our host even offered us produce from his beautiful garden! There was lake access from the garden and we enjoyed a chilly dip in the lake! Host lives at the property and was easy to communicate with. Overall, highly recommend!"

There were all the amenities you could need during your stay. I would recommend renting a car if you stay here, the bus stop was a bit difficult to walk to with luggage."
