The hotel is in a great location, staff were helpful and friendly. The room is well laid out, the bed is extremely comfortable. The handheld shower cannot be adjusted to tilt down, while there is an overhead shower this is not ideal if you don’t want to wet your hair. The water pressure is excellent, we appreciated the face washers. Breakfast catered mostly for the Chinese guests, however there was still plenty of choice for westerners. It is uncomfortably hot in the restaurant, this makes enjoying breakfast more difficult. The photo of the pool in the advertisement doesn’t reflect the pool area, we didn’t find it very inviting as the picture suggested it to be so didn’t use it as it was so hot anyway to be outside. I would recommend this hotel for the location, service and room amenities.

Want to say that this was an exceptional stay at the Fairmont Chengdu The modern Luxury style as shown in the photos and the location of this hotel with the metro being a few meters away appeal to me and it truly befits the premium Fairmont brand it is the staff that have made my recent 6 day stay so memorable. Each mender of the team that I have met was friendly, welcoming and no request was to difficult In particular want to mention the outstanding service offered by the Gold l lounge team Evelyn, June, Mia and Donna They went way and above their duty to ensure that my Vegetarian dietary need where met.
