Sutton St Nicholas Vacations from $780

Great location and setting, stunning gardens and architecture. Front of house reception is poor and experience doesn’t marry with the setting. we stayed during a heat wave and room was boiling, air con blowing warm air, fan provided was broken, nespresso machine broken, cannot open any windows. But we had a suite which was massive and impressive. We were in the southern section of the hotel and our views were incredible. We will go back, but we now know what to expect. Very peaceful there, I think there were only a handful of guests in our part of hotel. The north section was rammed. We didn’t eat there so can’t comment on food or service.

Location has huge potential- unfortunately service, hospitality and lack of investment lets it down. Lots of flys internally and an acceptance that unfortunately there was little that could be done.
