"Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. "
"The area was very walkable and close to small convenience stores lots of places to eat we needed this one night stay very last minute and they responded very promptly which we needed after missing our ferry. It was perfect for a one night quick stay."
"The property is in a suburban street - 10-15min walk from the centre BUT it is worth it. The amenities and quality of the property is some of the best you can expect. They have thought of everything. Would definately stay again "
"Very nice and clean hotel! Reception was closed but I got very detailed instructions before arrival on how to retreive my key and find the room. I was also gifted sweets and wine. I loved that the fridge was bigger than usual hotel fridges/minibar. I also got the breakfast, which was served at a nearby café, and I got my breakfast served at the table. Very cozy place and everything was tasty! Highly recommend this hotel!"
"The couple who I assume to be running the place are so sweet and very kind! They make sure you are very well taken care of, they allowed us to check in early and check out late which was amazing! Would definitely stay again! "

Muses: Panoramic View, Minutes from Knossos Minoan Palace
10/10 Excellent
"Oh my goodness!!! The most special place ever! Beautiful location gorgeous people wonderful service - everything was the best!! The photos are precise the place is just perfect and it was a pleasure to stay here. If I ever travel to the Island of Crete again I will be heading back to Muses.Love love love"
"Evva was really friendly and helpful, and our accommodation was spacious and comfortable.
We didn't like the fact that the shower was handheld only.
Also, the villa is located at the stop of a very steep hill, so although the town enter is not far away, it's not the easiest walk."
"Stunning villa, beautiful views, perfect hosts! Absolutely loved this holiday and would go back again. You definitely need a car and it’s about a 10 minute drive to shops and restaurants in the centre. I would describe this villa and pool as a little bit of paradise, especially with the peacocks roaming around . Kids loved feeding the cats and the kitten. It was just a lovely holiday! Thank you Stella and your husband for your great hospitality "
"We are 2 families plus grandparents (9 people in total) staying at the villa for a week in August.Pro's:* Very spacious and clean* Teenage kids liked the pool table* 3 functional bathrooms - one of which has a his & hers sink* The owner is very friendly and helpful. I arrived on Sunday afternoon and needed to do a quick shop of food. He drove me to the supermarket and took me back to the villa.* Best facilities in a villa compared to other villas that I stayed, including all the small things - tea bags, coffee pods for coffee machine, condiments, cooking oil and all utensils, bath and pool towels etc.* The owner let us stay after check-out time as our flight was late in the evening. * Cleaning team was superb and friendly, they did a very thorough jobCons:* The pool and jacuzzi are located in the lower ground floor with glass doors opening out to the ground, but they are not outdoors. I personally didn't mind but some preferred it to be outdoor.* Some facilities are a bit dated, all the pool lights came off. * WiFi is slow and weak, and not accessible from all the lower ground floor bedrooms.* Location is a bit far out, definitely need a car. Taxi in Crete is not cheap, each journey is a minimum of 20Euros, even if it's a 10 mins drive. * Villa is not well sign-posted, some taxi drivers got lost. The driver from airport transfer took an hour to get there although the journey should not be more than 15-20 mins. He missed the entrance several times."
