"We booked this place just two weeks ahead of our trip, and the communication with the host was excellent. On the day of arrival, we got to the property about an hour before the stated check-in time, and the host was very flexible in allowing us to check in early, which we really appreciated.Overall, the property is nice. We were a smaller group—four adults and two pets—but I could see it feeling a bit cramped with more than 6–8 people, especially since there are only two bathrooms and limited seating in the living room for relaxing by the TV.One thing to note: the bedroom on the second floor might not be ideal if you like to sleep in. The curtains don’t fully cover the windows, which lets in a lot of light, particularly during the summer months. Also, the flooring on that level appears to be made of simple wooden planks, and in some spots you can actually see through to the living room below. It wasn’t an issue for us, but others might find it a bit flimsy.The backyard was lovely, though we weren’t able to enjoy it fully because it rained throughout most of our stay. That said, we made good use of both the in-home amenities and those provided by the community—those were especially great. One important note: some community amenities are only available on certain days. For example, kayaking was only offered from Wednesday through Saturday or Sunday, so it’s worth checking ahead when planning your activities.We really enjoyed our stay and would book this property again."

"The property was amazing and the place has everything you could want"

"Great accomodation and communication with host. Close to groceries but rustic enough for a campfire. We spent a good time together over meals and bbq and experienced Kalahari water park close by. Great trip would recommend bringing some toiletries and extra towels but everything else was there. "

"I will start this review by saying that I believe the most disappointing thing about our stay was the amount of potential this house had. Before we even stayed at the house, we got a message a couple days before our stay saying “the hot tub was not working”. I responded saying “oh man. That’s one of the reasons we chose this place” and the response was “I know. I’m sorry.” That response was disappointing but I appreciated the heads up and figured the house would make up for it…LET ME SAY… we were so disappointed by how dirty the house was. Every where there was a carpet was covered in dirt and filth. There was barely any toilet paper in the bathrooms (about half a roll in each bathroom & there was six of us). The door to one of the rooms upstairs wouldn’t close/lock so it was difficult to have privacy while using the bathroom (because the 2 rooms were connected by the bathroom). The curtains in one of the bedrooms was touching the floor, covering the heater, and that seemed like a fire hazard to us but since it was FREEZING we had to try to make it work. The color schemes and the house itself were just beautiful. The hot tub that wasn’t working was gorgeous. But we couldn’t enjoy anything once we saw how dirty it was. The icing on the cake probably was when I sent a message of issues to the owner of the house and I got no response at all. I assume it was because we were leaving the next day, so it “didn’t matter” and that fact is very sad and unprofessional. "
