BEACHSIDE Paradise: Surf Panga Drops and Colorados

THE SPACE: Casabella is a 4200 sq. ft. private villa designed and built in an authentic colonial Nicaraguan style with a beautiful courtyard garden and lagoon style pool. The house is located just across the street from the beach access. Each of the four bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom and private entrance from the courtyard. The kitchen comes fully equipped with all the modern conveniences of home. All linens and towels (beach and bath) are provided along with wifi, cable tv, and onsite laundry and cleaning services.

THE PERFECT SURF GETAWAY. Nicaragua's Emerald Coast is a top surf destination because of the consistency of the waves. The gentle offshore winds that blow all day long 300+ days per year create perfect surfing conditions. Casabella is perfectly nestled in between two world class surf breaks: Panga Drops (200 yards North) and Colorado (200 yards South).

THE COMMUNITY: Casabella is located in the gated community of Hacienda Iguana just across the street from the beach under a beautiful canopy of trees.Hacienda Iguana is one of Nicaragua's most luxurious communities. It contains an impeccable world class golf course and a fun community restaurant and bar overlooking Playa Colorado's Break. Nicaragua is also one of Central America's most spectacular wildlife corridors with captivating oceans and lush rain forests. You can expect visits from the delightful local monkey troop along with exquisite exotic birds, nesting sea turtles and other wildlife.

CATERING: Catering is available for a fee. Lunch and Dinner is $15 per person ($10 for kids ages 10 and under). Breakfast is $10 per person ($6 for kids 10 and under). The menu includes a mix of traditional Nicaraguan and American foods.

ACTIVITIES AVAILABLE IN THE AREA INCLUDE: surfing, golfing, boating, deep sea fishing, horseback riding, wildlife viewing, kayaking, zip lines, yoga, spa services, biking, hiking and sightseeing tours.

Overall everything was as advertised, with beach access directly across the street. Property was clean and services were great. The on property security was a surprise, but was seamless. Overall great trip and would recommend.

Fabulous Property

The location of this property was perfect. The layout of the home was wonderful. Everyone had their own bedroom & bathroom. Plenty of separation between the rooms so lots of privacy. The courtyard pool was awesome. Fernando & his wife were wonderful caretakers & always responsive. The owner was accessible by phone for any needs. The bikes & surfboard availability was above & beyond. I will always try to book this property for all future visits.

Family vacation

Best vacation my family has ever had! I came with my wife and three teen age daughters and had a great time. The house is amazing and the staff will take care of your every need. When I asked my kids if they could take something back with them to the states fom Nicaragua my oldest replied "Maralyne" the head housekeeper . The surf is the best I have ever seen including California and Costa Rica. One thing is that I would come sooner than later as the word is out that this is one of the premier surf destinations in the world. After surfing each morning for a few hours the family would go out and see the sights and activities which included horseback riding, sight seeing, massages, facials, pedicures, manicures, zip lines, snorkeling, volcano climbing, great local food and markets and real estate browsing. The staff took care of all our needs including transportation, translation, and negotiating good deals where ever we went. I fully recommend this incredible full service resort as your destination in Nicaragua. Another tip: practice your Spanish before you come the locals will apreciate the effort. Last thing, The house is brand new we were the first ones to stay in it. An experience I will not soon forget. My kids want to stay all of next Summer (only if I could afford it). For you surfers it is 50 yards off the water right in between Colorodo and Panga. The beach access is right in front of the house and you could be at either break in less than three minutes form the house.

Outstanding. This was a fun and versatile stay. Good proximity to ocean. Private courtyard with pool. Original house design. We could watch the youngest child swim while preparing meals. Teenagers stayed occupied with swimming, golf, bodyboards…All around a perfect beach getaway. Ernie undersold the surrounding area. Multiple restaurants within a half mile. All accessible by golf cart, which you can rent…Three coffee shops, and a brewery! It’s difficult to find an ipa in Nicaragua, I looked…Very up and coming location.

Perfect beach hangout

One of the best houses in Iguana and somewhere I'm already thinking about returning to. The pool area is the perfect hangout spot after a long surf session and we even had some monkeys join us in the trees above. The bedrooms were perfect and provided just enough privacy to escape from your friends. The service included was top notch - from check-in with Fernando to the surprise laundry service, everything was smooth and efficient.

Beautiful Property

The house was perfect for our group, and the daily caretakers were so lovely and helpful. The beach nearby is beautiful and quiet with amazing surf. Note there is a large construction project across the street, but the noise wasn’t overly troublesome.

Great Stay!

This place is fantastic and perfectly located right in the middle of the beach, with direct access just across the street. My wife and I loved sitting upstairs with our morning coffee, listening to the sound of the ocean. The kids couldn’t get enough of the pool, and the courtyard makes you feel like you're inside the house—even though you're outside.The onsite staff were excellent—very attentive, making sure everything was in working order and keeping the house clean every day.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back.Side note: this house can easily accommodate multiple families—plenty of space for everyone!

What beautiful home! Everything was perfect. We really loved the layout. The courtyard pool was stunning and so great for hanging with friends privately. The kitchen and living room were well appointed and had all that you would ever need.

We really enjoy this property. We have stayed here a few times now and everything has been excellent. It’s quite unique with its interior courtyard and pool. There’s lots of space for friends to hang out, and lots of space where you can get away and read a book. I really enjoyed it !

Great Summer Getaway

Ernie's place was a fantastic place to spend our time in Hacienda Iguana. Location was perfect, house was very clean (and kept clean daily), and Ernie was so helpful with helping us to organize our travel to/from his place. It was our first time in Nicaragua as a family and we will absolutely go back, and stay at Casabella again!

We had a great time. Property is worth it for the pool alone. Power went out last day due to storm but was all good during our stay - good AC, helpful folks around, nice kitchen. The couch could be a bit more comfortable but all around a wonderful home!

Beautiful home, great location

It was very easy arriving at Casabella. The caretaker, Fernando, was waiting for us. The house is a beautiful colonial style home. It is very apparent that good care is taken of the property. The kitchen was very well appointed. We appreciated that the freezer had lots of ice for us when we arrived. There were lots of towels for the pool. There was plenty of outdoor furniture to use. The property is directly across the street from beach access which made it very easy to get to the beach with the children. Our two hiccups were that 1. The Jacuzzi tub in the master suite did not work, would not even hold water without standing on the stopper. 2 We had a power outage in the evening, and there was no generator back up and no one present on the property to help. Otherwise, we very much enjoyed staying at Casabella and would recommend it.

Casa Bella is the perfect name

Our daughter Ana described Casa Bella as a beautiful flower that opened its sturdy petals for us to rest on. We truly enjoyed our stay. It’s one of the most restful places. The beach is so close and easy to access. Our family ages range from 70 years to 11 years old and the house was perfect for everyone. The staff is very kind and attentive. They keep the house very clean and in very good condition. We would definitely stay again.
