Repeated power failures during the night while I was using a Cap machine

My husband and I are both teachers and we were in need of some rest and relaxation after a hectic few weeks. This was our first stay at Elliot House and we had a great time! Check in instructions and parking info was sent early on and were very easy to follow. We had no issues finding the parking area, or getting into our room. The room itself was spacious, and clean. Once we settled in, we headed to the common area where there were breakfast items and a coffee/tea station. We grabbed hot water to make hot toddies, and some cookies. The bed was super soft and comfortable, the jetted tub was amazing, the fireplace made our room cozy, and the tv provided a bunch of options for our mini staycation. 24/7 breakfast access meant a Frosted Flakes midnight snack. Morning coffee on the patio was exactly what I pictured when I booked our stay. Thank you for a very pleasant stay. It was exactly what we hoped for!

Our room was clean. However, there were two of us. We had one cup for water and one cup for coffee. There were four little coffee and tea choices. We were there two nights. I never did see an ice machine, or an ice bucket. It’s the first hotel I’ve ever stayed in. That did not have a microwave! The freezer shook section in the tiny refrigerator. Did not keep the ice packs frozen. One light switch did not work. In the bathroom, I had to stand in the tub using both hands to pull the knob on!!! For some odd reason the toilet was very low to the ground! I am 5’5” and it was a little bit awkward. If I was 6 feet I probably would not have been able to stand back up after sitting on it. The actual seat was quite large, and I felt like someone smaller than myself might fall in the toilet! I’m not very big myself 115 pounds. The bottom of the door had broken wood, and some of the faucets were just slightly corroded. We had a room key, each key worked one time! Consequently, after leaving, I would have to go to the office and replace the keys. Only there are two nights, didn’t leave the room real often and had to go to the office three or four times to replace keys! No outside trash can anywhere near the building that our room was in! Every time I walked the dog, I had to cross over to another building to use their trash can. There is no parking by either the front door or the back door, it’s on the side where there’s no door. The steak in the restaurant was tough, no steak knives,$$$
