"There was a nice feel to this hotel. It felt homely with it's creaky wooden stairs and beautiful bannister; when we came in late at night and let ourselves in through the big door with a key and crept up the stairs to our room so we didn't disturb any others, it felt like coming home! The staff were kind and smiley. Everything was simple but very clean and the breakfast was amazing with lots of choice: fresh fruit, yoghurt, meats, smoked salmon, cheeses and breads. "The place looks appealing and neat looking. The beer and the food is good. Staff are friendly enough, but thats where it ends. Looks like they cheaped out on the rooms. No TV, no radio, no phone, no clock. Nothing in the room but the bare minimum of furniture. Some people may like that rustic type of stay, which includes no hot water. Tried to take a shower, but the hot water lasted about a minute (no exageration) and went cold. There was one main light that still left the room rather...

"The staff are lovely and the location is great The rooms are dated and need refurbishment. The bed was uncomfortable and the king size bed was covered with two small sheets rather than one big one. The sink had a big crack in it. I wouldn’t have sold that room with that sink. There’s a lot of noise from restaurant patrons leaving and the people in the rooms above made a lot of noise at 2am. The restaurant is amazing and made up for the room. However, breakfast on the weekend is from 8am...

"For a family of 4, this was the perfect stop on our way south; Super low price - cosy barrel cabins - a playground with moon cars where both or 11 and 3 yo had fun - and included the sweetest little Butterfly Park. Entrance included!!. We will have to try the water land just across the street next time around "
