We put the sign up to clean our room. I double checked it was the correct way round. Returned after a long day out and someone had turned our sign to ‘do not disturb’ and our room had not been cleaned. V disappointed.

Family room was quiet, spacious and clean, with plenty of tea and coffee and mugs. (Kettle would have benefitted from being a little bigger) Room was air conditioned and had a fridge. Bath and shower was good and anti fog mirror was a nice touch. We all slept well in two king beds and enjoyed the view from our room. Check in and check out was quick and stress free, staff were polite and helpful. On site parking was busy but helpful. Location of the hotel right on the sea front and close to the pier. Breakfast in the atrium was lovely and the omelette / pancake station was particularly busy. Good selection of breakfast options and the area was clean and tidy.

Central and walkable. Close to metro stations. Property is on a weird corner and street walking just outside can be tricky at first. Very close to Waterloo and Westminster tube stations so you can get anywhere pretty quickly. Hotel breakfast was great (we used it several times and would include it next time). Room was a little bit tight but that’s to be expected in Europe. Room was clean and service was good.

The location is wonderful especially since there is a ferry service & all types of public transport available close by on either side of the Thames. The property is very quirky & cute & very Euro, from this American’s perspective (a compliment, to be sure). Breakfast is quite a convenience. Rooms are very clean! I was there during the heat wave so the temp in the rooms was the only discomfort, but the place is so charming, I can overlook it and definitely stay again!

Overall, we had a nice time. Booked as I had always wanted to stay on the Sunborn and we were going to a concert at the 02 so it was convenient. Room was fine - we booked an executive king river view. Small balcony with chairs but you could only see the river if you stood up. Bathroom basic and lacked touches like shower cap etc. Boat was beautiful with large staircase in centre- stunning. Staff were pleasant and helpful- special call out to Luca on reception. We went for a drink on 5th floor bar and discovered how corporate the boat was when approximately 60 people converged in, with free drinks for them and high noise levels which spoiled both the view and ambience. There was something on at Excel and Sunborn were hosting an event for them which lasted from 5-11pm. We went to 5th floor bar outside at 11.15 pm and had lovely view of 02 and surrounding lit up buildings- favourite part of our stay. Breakfast was the most disappointing- totally self service with items that had been cooked possibly 2 hours earlier being left warm. We did ask for fresh eggs as the fried ones were hard, but when a fresh dish came out they were the same. Tip- get to breakfast early! Pastries were not fresh. Would we stay again? Probably not.
