Vacaciones en las montañas en Lundy

This was a lovely place to stay! I love the fact it was sporty and healthy lifestyle based. Our room, facing the atrium, could have been a little cleaner, we found some of the glasses in the room dirty. The shower, however, is so nice! Beds were comfortable and the room was remarkably soundproof given its position. Courtesy bathrobes would have been nice as I didn’t want to buy or rent one. We used the pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi each day but the hydro pool was out of order. The pool staff were very attentive and keen to maintain the safety of the area as well as make sure that the rules (no phones/photos etc) were adhered to. We ate in the bar overlooking the gold course, this was nice. Prices may seem a little high for some though (£10 for a medium glass of Merlot for example). We did enjoy our stay, the atmosphere is lovely!

I recently stayed at the Grand Hotel in Torquay from Monday to Friday last week with my family, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The hotel is in a fantastic location, making it easy to explore Torquay and walk to the beach. Having two swimming pools was also a nice feature and something the children enjoyed. However, the hotel itself is in desperate need of modernisation. Our biggest concern was safety around the pool. My daughter caught her toe on a loose or damaged tile and injured herself. A manager acknowledged that she had hurt herself but simply walked away without offering any assistance or showing any concern, which was very disappointing. We had booked a family room for four people but were given a room with only one double bed and one single bed. The solution offered was an extra mattress on the floor, which is not what I would expect when paying for a family room. The covered car park was another let-down. The bird netting was torn, allowing birds to get in, and my car ended up covered in bird droppings during our stay. Overall, while the location and pool facilities are positives, they weren't enough to make up for the poor room arrangements, lack of customer care, and the general condition of the hotel. Unfortunately, I won't be staying here again.

Guest house is brilliant, lovely clean place, great breakfast, staff and owners friendly. Would recommend this place. 10/10.
