Breakfast was great.

Perfect location, large space, clean. Happy to have found this place. Would recommend to everybody. But be aware that there are no lifts, so if you have heavy luggage, it may be a bit inconvenient.

Friendly staff but not that well maintained, could do with a bit of a revamp if it’s to deserve its 4 star rating. Perfectly fine for our stay, just needs refreshing.

Room had a great view and had everything you needed for a short stay. Staff were helpful and greta to deal with. Cupboards needed some tightening, oven was noisy and pillows were very flat. Couch more for sitting in, not lounging.

Nice lodge and fantastic staff. I must have booked us into the house across the street which was a slightly different experience and our particular room was very lacking in terms of amenities, size, and washroom standards.

For the most part, I enjoyed my stay at Six Brunton Place! It was a cute B&B with a super kind host, Hilary. Vivienne (spelling may be incorrect) was extremely helpful during my stay. She helped me during my arrival and throughout my stay on multiple occasions. As a solo traveler, I felt extremely safe and secure in this B&B so I highly recommend it for that alone. It is close to multiple bus stops and the tram, so it was easy to get to all the sights. It’s very close to Arthur’s Seat! There’s also a phenomenal restaurant called the Herringbone just down the street (~5 min walk). Definitely want to note though that this is a multi story house and I do not believe there is a lift/elevator available. Additionally, there are rooms at the basement level which was not clear at the time of booking. I was in the Courtyard room which is a basement level room which is not what I anticipated based on the booking I made. Though it was as clean as it could be, it does have a basement feel and smell to it, so be aware if this is not what you would want.

Our room was very clean and nice. The staff was friendly. The main restaurant and bar is beautiful but we were very disappointed that it was closed for a private event one of the nights that we stayed there. They had a small bar open for us but it just was not the same. The person attending the bar was not a bartender and had to seek advice at the main bar for assistance. The prices of drinks should reflect the lower quality of ambiance. We would expect coffee and tea to be available complimentary at the cost we were paying for the rooms but you had to buy it at the bar. All in all, for the most part, we really liked this hotel. We just thought it was overpriced for what you got.

If you can provide proof of being a student, this place is clean, quiet, central and so nice.
