This is not a hotel, which is fine so long as you know that before arriving. The accommodations are comprised of seven [separate] very small rooms on the lower level of someone's house, with shared common room and shared kitchen. Some of the rooms share a bathroom so it is more like a hostel with private rooms than it is a hotel. Located in a residential neighborhood, very quiet. The owner/operator is quite pleasant and friendly. Fine place to stay if you are not expecting a hotel and much less expensive than hotels in the area; so quiet you will get a good night sleep.

Pros: Beautiful and historic. Lobby is comfortable. Location is excellent. Staff and service - excellent. Included breakfast is great! Room was large, clean and spacious. Bathroom had heated floors and modern. Cocktail hour was lovely. Check-in was easy! Cons: Limited parking when busy. As it’s an old building, the AC unit was a standalone unit and was very loud. If you’re a light sleeper, this will be an issue.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Fairholm Inn! The building we stayed in was absolutely charming built last century. The staff was very helpful and our room was charming! The Inn is close to downtown. Easily walkable to wonderful restaurants and the confederation center. I would not hesitate to stay at this end again in the future.
