Weekend getaways in Decorah

We had a great stay here! My husband works from home and we requested early check-in so he could get to work as soon as we arrived. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The wifi was great and was a private network, so a great location to work remotely! The property was clean and new. The kitchen was great for cooking at home if desired. The beds were large and cozy. I almost passed this property up due to the pictures not truly showing how lovely this place is, but I promise, it is...

Nice fire pit and deck

Close to our venue. Clean, nice front desk lady.

Friendly and clean hotel with plenty of parking behind the hotel. We arrived on a Friday, stayed until Sunday. Try the Winneshiek Ice Water made by Dylan at the Tap Room! Hotel is close to shops, breweries and restaurants/pubs. Plan to park and walk everywhere! Just a short walk to Trout Run Trail which covers just about every terrain from hilly, rocky, switch backs to prairie farm land. Be sure to stop by the trout farm and check out the eagles nest but be aware that these are the only...

Quiet, accessible, very clean. Enjoyed how close it is to downtown.

Super cute town and close to bike trail

My granddaughter and I stayed at Boarders for a week. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out, we had nothing but positive experiences. It has a country atmosphere, it's cozy, and everyone was friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Boarders as a place to stay while visiting Iowa. A big shout out to Daryll who was at the front desk when we checked in and for several of the evenings when we came back to our room in the evening. Daryll was always helpful and pleasant.

was a quiet spot, clerk called to confirm our arrival

Upon checking in they had no record of reservation through Expedia. They said it had been an ongoing problem with Expedia. Luckily they had a room so we had a place to stay but I'm not sure I'm going to use Expedia from now on. We had a confirmation number but it never got through to the Motel.

This is a very nicely maintained hotel. Not everything was brand new, but everything was clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable and clean. The refrigerator, microwave and morning breakfast were appreciated. The hotel is conveniently located and had ample parking. It was a very comfortable stay and I would consider it a good value for the price. I would be happy to stay here again.

Very unique property with cozy, comfortable accommodations.

Very nice hotel- helpful, friendly staff. Restaurant attached to the hotel was good.

When we checked in, we were told our room was on the second floor and there were no elevators, only stairs. I recently had injured my knee and it was difficult for me to walk up/down stairs. The front desk clerk informed me the hotel was very full and he didn't know if he would be able to move anything around. Since I had not told them we needed a first floor room, I said it was OK. We left without going to our room as we were only checking in and then running to our son's home. When we...

My husband and I were in town for a wedding and had called ahead to see if it would be possible to do an early check in. The wonderful sweet woman who I spoke with made not of this and said sure. There is a small charge per hour to check in early but... it is well worth it. We arrived a little later than we expected but....our room was ready for us to check-in. It was super clean and ready to go! We had a lovely comfortable room! Thank you!

Room was very clean and updated. Owner was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions.

From the moment we arrived, Melissa greeted us. It was appreciated as we arrived later than expected. The rooms are clean and we had full control of the temperature. The location was perfect, we were walking distance from the casino, a scenic overview and a play lot for the kids. Breakfast was more than adequate with fresh Puck coffee. The staff was on top of the breakfast area, no one had to wait very long for warm food. Each room had it's own safe along with a refrigerator and microwave. ...

Great price for a quick overnight stay in town.Very clean and well maintained, towels and linens smelled so fresh! Bed was super comfy:) Close to train tracks so you will hear the trains if and when they roll by.
