Last-minute hotel deals in Cheshire

This was our first night in our UK trip and was arguably the best place we could stay to introduce us to this country. Our room was small but the stone walls and lovely decor made it feel simultaneously rustic and contemporary. The bathroom was well designed and had a wonderful shower that was just what we needed after 15 hours of travel. The bed was a dream, I haven’t slept that well in a long time. The Lion Inn was one of the most charming Inn's I have stayed in. The rooms are charming- you approach yours as if it is your own little cottage. Inside, they are cheerful and bright and have the latest in sleeping accommodations and amenities. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The pub is wonderful, The cuisine is delicious and contemporary, and the servers are lovely and efficient. The Inn is located near the Grade I church of St. Oswalds, -a two-minute walk away. Breakfast was spectacular. They make their own bread! The people were lovely. The check-in process was ridiculously simple and straightforward. The on-site was easy. The room was comfortable and clean. We will definitely stay here again!

Well kept historical farm. Bonus awesome short walks nearby. Very peaceful when needed. Deer park walk includes carless country lane, a huge estate to explore and paths to contemplate the peacefulness. Followed by great meal and people afterwards at the tavern next door to Ash Farm. Plush room and shower to cozy up in. Best breakfast ever: atmosphere, fresh fruit, all homemade food, and personal quality service from the owner and his chef.

The room, especially the bath and shower, were excellent. Breakfast was outstanding in a comfortable, well-lit room. Wifi was very good. Good car park.

The rooms were spacious, charmingly decorated, and clean. The staff could not do enough for us, even postponing a scheduled fire drill because we told the breakfast staff I was planning on taking a jet lag nap before going out to explore the countryside. Meals were absolutely delicious with a great take on traditional favourites. A must stay!

Decor is nice and furnishings luxurious. Fresh milk in the fridge for the Nespresso maker and a bottle of water! Comfy bed and spacious room and large bathroom.

The location was perfect!! Right near the historic race track and city wall and a block or two from town center! Loved the ease of the keyless entry and the well appointed room and lobby...

Loved it! Cute town and lovely breakfast. Nice restaurant at the neck back Pecks and casual pub food at the front. On small thing service was slow in the pub food and breakfast. Seems understaffed! Eveything else was great.

Great overnight stay for us. Dinner was amazing and so was breakfast. Made our "Favorites" list (only 2/2 in all of the UK).

The owner is extremely kind and helpful. The location of the property is very convenient and close to restaurants and coffee shops.

Second time staying here and each time has been superb. It’s a beautiful hotel and the staff are welcoming and friendly. This isn’t just a great hotel for Warrington, this would be a great hotel anywhere. Looking forward to my next stay.
