“Many splendors”
This Casino hotel has many splendid amenties. Five restaurants, pool and fitness area and the room service is high quality. There are Two shops where magazines and food items can be purchased. If in downtown Atlantic City, this hotel is highly recommended.
“Don't like the Havana tower”
Hate the Havana tower. The bed was like sleeping in a box . Stained on carpet. No blankets. Just overall uncomfortable. Shaba is suppose to the new area but looked older then the other side. The decor was old.
“good value for the price”
hotel had nice shops and resturants/clubs. staff was very helpful. woud go back to this hotel again
“Disappointed”
I was referred to this hotel by a friend who has similar tastes as I. Unfortunately, the service was lackluster, at best. The hotel showed signs of wear and poor upkeep but was clean for the most part. I called the front desk for a bottle opener and was told it would cost $1 and take 2 HOURS to deliver. To make matters worse, I called maintenance because the tub plug was broken and the bathroom sink was clogged. I was told someone would be up to fix the issues immediately. Needless to say, three days and a trip home later... I'm still waiting. The view from the hotel room was remarkable and I didn't mind the walk to the mall. Overall, not bad but definitely well below expectations.
“Tropicana Casino , NJ- Marketplace /expo participant”
Overall, the hotel/Casino lobby looks good, elevators are in good condition and service staff was cordial. Property is a bit dated and sleeping rooms need to be redone. The ballroom was spacious well lit and served the purpose. I would attaend another convention/event there. Casino and gambling tables were busy. Food outlets were clean and well kept.
“Beautiful room with a view of the ocean.”
We had a great stay at the Tropicana in AC. Everyone was very nice and we were especially pleased with the room. The price was great. We look forward to a return visit.
“Nice place for 20 somethings”
I have visited the Tropicana before, just never stayed there. Well I was there the day before Thankgiving and it was full of drunk 20 somethings. I would stay there again but not on such a night. My room was very clean but a little small. The place is rather large with a confusing lay out. So getting a little lost can be expected. Besides the drunk kids I was awoken at about 1 a.m. by a loud pounding and yelling. I awoke startled, thinking maybe the place was on fire or something. It was just the girls next door pounding on the door and yelling to get in. Like I said before I liked the place. Just not when it is full of drunken kids.
“not thrilled”
Really less than three star- thrown into the "Havana Tower" which is a hike , escalator, and elevator trip from the front desk. The view of west side of Atlantic City did not make to old room more palitable. Go somewhere else. Anywhere else.
“Nice restaurants, but my room needed a scrubbing”
The Quarter at the Tropicana had good restaurants and very nice staff which made staying there worth it. However, my room needed a good scrubbing. It was very dusty and a bit grimy especially in the corners and around the edges of the furniture. The wallpaper was peeling in places and had some stains on it. One positive was that the tower where I stayed was non-smoking so it was a nice break from having to walk through a smoke filled casino floor.
“Satisfied”
No problems with this hotel, casino or restaurants. Seemed to be the nicest in the immediate area and good convenient access to the boardwalk, etc. Havana tower room was good but not brand new. Hotel restaurants and mall area was impressive. Pool and sauna is small, out of the way (6th floor, and short hours, only until 6 pm. Overall was very satisfied with our choice.
