This property is a no frills hotel that is in walking distance to the boardwalk/beach. Last year, I would have said it was family friendly. This year, my nice got sick on the first night of our stay with a fever sore throat and runny nose. The next morning, she had the same symptoms. As she is not old enough to have gotten a COVID vaccine, I decided to check out and get her home. The hotel is trying to charge me for the nights I did not stay. The manager, Dawn, who also manages another property next door, refused to come speak to me in person claiming she could not leave the desk. What she did tell me is that I would be charged for the nights I didn't stay. I'm now contesting the charge with my credit card company. This hotel is fine on the surface, and seems to be run by pretty savvy college students. However, when problems arise, you are treated like dirt by management. Dawn refused to tell me the name of the hotel owner, claiming he lived out of state. She refused to come to meet me and I couldn't meet her as my 9 year old niece was upstairs. Awful service, horrible customer treatment.
