Good mini vacation

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Good location and friendly staff.
Cons: Clubhouse should have been open for drinks and/or dinner, however they did not open that day.
Location: Good location as only a short drive to some good restaurants.
This location was convenient as we were visiting various beaches on Georgian Bay and wanted a quaint small town to stay in overnight. The bartender recommended a wonderful Italian restaurant called Azzura and was kind enough to make reservations for us. The restaurant was a short drive and the food was outstanding.

Misleading expectation

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: It had good things to offer but over shadowed by our experience.
Cons: Don't allow people to stay before the renovation is done.
Location: The village and ski area lovely and interesting.
Instead of finding a resort atmosphere in the area where we stayed, we were subjected to a construction sight with renovation taking place in a number of rooms right next to our room, with tools, glue smell, painting smells, and noise at times. It was unfortunate that the resort allow people to stay while renovation was taking place. It was disappointing and unacceptable. I asked the desk to consider refunding at least half of the $150 per night stay for two nights. The man at the front desk said that because we had booked it on expedia he was not sure if anything could be done. He said he would refer it to his manager. We have not heard from him and doubt that we were will be refunded. Does any one think that experience will encourage business.

Nice hotel close to Georgian trail

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Quiet, friendly staff, near trail, close to shopping center.
Cons: The only thing they can improve is to have a fridge and a microwave in the rooms.
Location: Lots of different activities available near the resort. Highly suggest to checkout Scenic Caves at Blue Mountain.
Great time. If travelling with kids or you wish to bring some home cooked meals with you, bring a cooler and make several trips to ice machine that is nearby, because there is no fridge available in the room. There isn't a microwave either in the room so be prepared to eat icy cold foods or leave it out for a couple of hours so that it can warm up. Other than that, your gonna have a great time enjoying the outdoors.

Just OK!!

Not recommended at all, just like a motel! No fridge inside the room unless you ask for! Not a good smell when you enter the mail hall

When you have nothing better

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: calm and quiet place.
Cons: Give same level of comfort to all. Providing comfort to golf club members and not to one day residents is poor show.
Location: Wasaga Beach, Living Waters
Dirty carpets, not very clean bathroom, no air conditioning in rec rooms, etc etc. As i said its OK when you have nothing else.

Always a pleasure

We come to cranberry a few times a year. Also stay at many other hotels in Collingwood too. The rooms are nice, a bit dated but we are ok with it. Normally picky in our hotels but Cranberry had a special charm to it. Our dogs love it too and are always with us when we stay. More then anything we love the staff who are the most friendly around!

Fell short of expectations

Posted Jun 21, 2014
The room was not clean, the bath mat was soaking wet, the bathroom sink was dirty. The bed was not very comfortable, and the outlet in the bathroom was so loose I was afraid to use it. Will definitely not be staying there again.

Nice hotel but one huge upgrade needed!

Great hotel but they need to improve the pool! It's a little run down compared to the rest of the hotel.

Pleasant enough

Posted May 23, 2014
Pros: Convenient location. Pleasant rooms. Reasonable cost. Good value.
Cons: Main restaurant (Memories) is overpriced, clearly to allow for the distribution of discount coupons.Would rather the prices be more realistic up front
Location: Lots of casual dining near by.
Just needed somewhere convenient and reasonable while I attended a meeting. The staff were all lovely. There was construction going on in nearby rooms that would have been an issue if I was on holiday but didn't impact me as I was on a work schedule.

Cranberry resort weekend

Posted May 19, 2014
We were upgraded to a room at Cramberries other property across the street called Living Waters Resort and Residences. Less than a year old. Fantastic facility. Beautiful hotel with indoor pool and water slide. Room was beautiful and very comfortable beds with down comforters and feather pillows. Will definitely go back and recommend to friends and family.
