"One night no breakfast"
We stayed in Abbey hotel just for one night in a tiny double room. But everything was perfect. The room was sparkling clean, the staff was helpful, very polite and friendly. We were very happy because the bathroom had a bath and not a shower and there was complimentary tua and coffee in the room but my favourite part where the bed sheets, soft and thick at the same time. We loved our stay and we would definitely go there again.

"Convenient for Bath"
Very nice hotel about 10miles from Bath. Really enjoyed our stay for one night, although there was a private party going on which impacted on our meal once we were in our bedroom you could not hear the music at all. Beds very comfortable, beautiful plush linen and a brilliant breakfast. Couldn't want for more. Will definitely return.

"Outstanding traditional English home stay"
Very enjoyable stay, well organized, from the breakfast order to the "leave you shoes here"....very helpful hosts, happy to assist in any way. The shower system was a first, intriguing, but efficient with great relaxing flow once mastered. Big Ben discount pass to many local services included in your stay. Twilight Spa in Bath was an unforgettable experience.........Not to be missed. Port Isaac a very pretty coastal fishing town a picturesque three hour drive away. Hire car services close to accommodation. Stonehenge and Swanage, another very pretty coastal village, within 1-2 hours very enjoyable drive also. Lots to see in Bath for those that don't wish to drive..

The George Inn

High Street, Bath BA2 7LH - Map
"Hotel that oozes personality and charm"
I visited the George Inn with my Husband, we were greeted by lovely staff and a roaring open fire, what more could you ask for on a cold January afternoon, our room was above the bar and although you could hear people below in the evening (please don't let that the you off) the bar area itself is a VERY small room and it doesn't hold hundreds of people. The voices didn't go on into the small hours, infact I think we were both sound asleep by about 10.00-10.30 :) Our bedroom and en-suit was clean and tidy and we had all the usual extras you'd expect, a selection of teas, filter! coffee :) hot chocolate, hair dryer ect, we decided to use the restaurant within the George Inn for our evening meal, the staff were very good asking where we'd prefer to be seated and the food was Devine, one of the best steaks I've ever had, food was bought out very prompt, we asked if we could have a 20-30 min gap In between our desert arriving, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was served in the little bar below our bedroom, which incidentally is more like a front room with a huge open stone fire taking up one entire wall of this lovely little room, again the food was fabulous and a great variety to suit all tastes. If you'd like to experience a touch of old England this is the place for you, with its old creaking sloping floor boards and winding staircase. Just take five minutes to look up at the roof outside when leaving, slates that are more like floor slabs than roof slates just amazing.
