This hotel is very expensive by anyones standards. It is some, but not an impossible distance from other towms. That being said, it is located with a view of the most beautiful scenery along California`s coast. Each room is well designed and the refrigerator is stocked with wine, cheese, crackers, cookies, etc. Great for a picnic. The restaurant is beautifully done and the food is fancy and well done. The complimentary breakfast is just lovely with something for everyone. The staff is the best we have ever encountered. They are respectful, good natured, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed them so much. Yoga, hiking and other diversions are available. You definitly can be taken away from the real world. An elegant way to excape!

“This is not a hotel, it is an experience. A true slice of heaven”

I went here with my boyfriend in April. The place was absolutely breathtaking. I had read about this place is travel magazines for years and had extremely high expectations, yet the hotel managed to surpass all of them. Not one detail was spared. When you arrive, you're offered champagne and driven to your room in a lexus. Your tourguide shows you around the beautiful property and gives you room details. You're wanting to jump out of the car in the first minute because you want to enjoy all the property has to offer. I live a very busy, hectic, NYC partying lifestyle and this is the one place where I was actually able to sit back and relax and take in the natural beauty. A heavenly retreat for the mind, body and soul.

“A Destination”

This is more a destination than a hotel. Everyone is cordial and friendly and welcoming. A nice place to relax, meditate, and think. The grounds are extensive and peaceful.
