Staff are very friendly. Unfortunately we had an "egg smell" from our bathroom shower every time we used it. I spoke to the front staff and they said maintenance would look at it but never heard anything back. Otherwise the hotel is very convenient. The pool and hot tub was very nice.

It is a lovely property in Carmel. The car ride is a few minutes drive, not within walking distance of the beach. The pool and hot tub were great, mainly because it was a heated pool. The room itself was spotless and comfortable. Parking was tedious; I had to do a few laps around the property to find parking. It was a bit pricey, but it was a good stay overall.

The location of this hotel was excellent. Easy drive to Carmel by the sea, Big Sur and the Carmel mission. However, I did notice the hotel was understaffed, especially when trying to order room service

It was lovely. Quiet, right off the route to go to Point Lobos, which we went to. Had a great pool and jacuzzi which we did not use but looked great. Restaurant was delish and accomodating, even though it looks not busy, it's great! Wish it was open for lunch.

Nice staff and good location to restaurants, grocery store, & close to downtown. Pretty amenities, but a $30 parking fee per night seems to take advantage of people. VERY thin walls - heard neighbors “enjoying each other”. Refrigerator temp control was broken, so it could only function as a freezer - Wasted lots of groceries due to this. Three out of five stars for me.

It’s a clean experience, though a bit on the sterile side. For the price that’s charged, the experience and room entirely lacked Carmel‘s quirky charm. And when I made reservations, Expedia stated that all taxes and fees were included, which turned out not to be true. There was an additional $90 charge for our two night stay for Wi-Fi and parking. The rooms are just too expensive to be tacking on nickel and dime fees like that.

Old property that has been remodeled resulting in a mixed bag of conditions but charges a premium price. The facelift is mostly focused on the exterior of the hotel and is successful in conveying a clean modern look complete with painted cow to distract Instagram kids. The cracks become more apparent once you make it to your room and squeeze into the narrow shower or notice that the sliding glass door that doesn’t shut completely is definitely 40 years old. Be also prepared for a hefty dose of resort and other fees, I paid another 40-something on top of my room fees for mandatory internet, pool, parking and other resort fees for my one night stay.

Very hip modern property. While it isn't in the downtown area, there are plenty of restaurants, shopping, coffee and laundry within walking distance. Please note that this is a very pet friendly location, most residents have dogs.
