Excellent refuge by Machupicchu ruins

Posted Apr 4, 2015
Pros: Excellent staff, lovely rooms and delicious food.
Location: Perfect location right accross from Machupicchu
We spend a wonderful day at the Belmont prior to visiting Machupicchu. Located right accross the entrance. Excellent service, wonderful food, lovely gardens. Extremely convenient location. We went to visit Machupicchu early at opening time. We were the first ones to go in. At 9 am we went back to the hotel for a lovely breakfast and then back into Machupicchu.

Best location that you can stay at Machu Picchu

Posted Feb 9, 2015
Pros: Location, location, location. Staffs are super nice and attentive. They will even transport the luggage for you to and from the train station.
Location: Only thing to do in town - Machu Picchu
You cannot beat the location. You can go in and out of Machu Picchu and go to your hotel for a break/drinks. Get the all inclusive package if you like to eat and drink. You can also be the first one at the gate for the early morning sunrise without taking extra 30 minutes bus ride from the town.

I was traveling with a friend to visit Machu Picchu and we decided to stay at the Belmond Sanctuary hotel as it is the only hotel located next to the entrance of Machu Picchu. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. For the cost, I did not think the hotel was worth the money and next time I visit Machu Picchu I will stay in Aguas Calientes.

The best hotel next to Machu Picchu

Posted Jan 21, 2015
This hotel is amazing! You should reserve this hotel if you wanna enjoy Machu Picchu 100%!! The location is more than the best. It's just next to the entrance of Machu Picchu. So if you get tired or it starts raining, you can go back to the hotel anytime. The staffs are very friendly and hospitable. I miss all of them. They help you so well, if you need something. The food is very good. All meals are different. You can taste delicious Peruvian food.

RIGHT THERE!! That's the point.

Pros: 4-star experience, through and through, but mostly the 40-meters to the entrance to Machu Picchu!
Cons: Really, nothing significant.
Location: A few steps from Machu Picchu site -- what more can one say?
This is an excellent hotel and they understand what they offer and what people are paying. At the same time, the real thing is that they are the only hotel "on site", with all the benefits of easy and early access to Machu Picchu -- no Aguas Callientes madness, no busses to compete for, etc.. If you base your decision on access to MP, then all the rest of the considerable charm and luxury is gravy. They do a good job - everything is first rate - and even at twice as much as my previous personal highest price paid for a room anywhere, I am very very pleased with the decision to stay here. The staff, baggage handling, navigation of the schedules for busses, trains, tickets to Machu Picchu -- all these things were handled expertly and eagerly by the staff. We were treated as one would hope for a 4-star hotel. Highly recommended.

Amazing Experience

Posted Dec 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
Worth every penny! We stayed two nights, and were able to explore Macchu Picchu at leisure, coming and going as weather permitted. The food was excellent, the service impeccable, and the grounds beautiful. We had an all-inclusive package which included all meals and dinner and we did not regret it one bit! Aguas Calientes was the worst kind of tourist town, with inflated prices, poor food, and people constantly trying to sell you something. We were happy to limit our time there to a few hours.
