We would recommend this hotel to our friends and family. It was small but had everything you would want for a great time. The Terrace views were spectacular!! We were most impressed by the modern rooms and excellent, friendly staff. The location was in walking distance to everything we were interested in seeing. Loved our stay and will return to the Madison for our next trip to Memphis!!

I don't know if this hotel was low in cost compared to others, after all we were only a couple of blocks from The Peabody. But it was fine for our purpose - an overnight - and as it was near the waterfront, restaurants and shopping it made for an interesting and enjoyable walkabout. The rooms were very clean and neat. No grounds to speak of except for a parking lot, pool and a lone gazebo near the road. The continental breakfast was limited and there was nothing to the lobby, only a seat or two, so you had to eat in your room. It had rained and although we were told someone would come and wipe down the gazebo seats, we waited nearly half and hour and they didn't. But, it served our purpose - although I think the price was higher than it should have been.

"spacious room with a great view of the Mississippi"
Big spacious room with a great view of the Missississippi. Breakfast was good with many choices. Front desk people were very friendly and helpful. The location was great: right across the street from Mud Island; walking distance to Beale St and Bass Pro Shop in the Pyramid. Trolley bus is 1/2 block away.

We stayed 2 nights during Memphis in May. The location was good, just 4 blocks from Beale Street and had a great breakfast place next door. Parking was $8/dy at the garage next door, which was reasonable. The building is well kept and our apartment had modern decor. All was fine except it was extremely noisy from the street downstairs, no sleeping in at this building. The staff was very nice.
