"Sweet check-in clerks, who speak French/English/Spanish/German"
With the help of front desk staff (especially Jesus, who speaks several languages with ease and was very kind and so helpful!) my friend and I had a great experience. This was my second time staying here. If you are looking for a decent home-base (not fancy, but spacious and well-equipped with a full kitchen) staffed by wonderful people I recommend this hotel.

I chose this hotel because the pictures gave me the feeling that I would have a feel of Mexican tradition from the very start. When I got there, I could not have wanted more. The staff welcomed me and my husband as if we were guest in their home. The gentleman who brought our luggage into our room was Alex. He has a smile every day and is helpful in every way. Communicates both in Spanish and English. The rooms where big and comfortable. I did not encounter any traffic noise as our room faced the back and had a lovely terrace to look at. Which gave me the feeling on being in a very small resort.
I came for a family reunion and the staff helped me in every way. I'd come again and again.
One last note, the showers never went short on water or changed temperatures while showering.
Every day they came and really kept the rooms spotless. The breakfast buffet had plenty and was delicious.

This place reminds us our Spanish heritage with high ceilings, bricks and beautiful gardens. It is a very romantic place. Here they make you feel at home. The staff is very dedicated, very friendly from the gardener to the manager.
This place is very well located, close to good restaurants, shopping centers and banks among others.
Easy to get transportation.

Very Friendly staff... clean facility....The only thing I was not sure was about the sanitation of the bathroom, but other than that everything was perfect... I recommend their buffet, good variety, and everything prepared with care... Not expensive at all...

"Nice rooms in old house that have been restored."
We love to stay in the historic center of the cities we visit. Trocadero Suites the rooms that are part of a 20's or 30's house that have been converted into suites of different sizes. Ours was the smallest and it was roomy, clean and had a refrigeratoor and coffee making facilities. A walk in ample shower with plenty of hot water, too. It is very accesible to many of the tourist attractions that are situated 3 blocks away. The bus is available right on the same street, and we also walked to the plaza mayor which is about 8 blocks away. Walking gave us a view of the old charming homes around the hotel, avenues that are filled with people listening to music, biking, etc.
Trocadero Rooms and Suites are part of the Ganz Hotel properties. They offer stays in lovely homes that have been restored with respect to their historical value.

Great hotel at a great price. breakfast was a good bonus. i stayed there for 7 days during our vacation in guadalajara. i rented 2 double rooms. the rooms are brand new and the hotel is under construction but everything was ok because we left in the morning and comeback at night. the bathroom was clean. beds confortable, complimentary breakfast and water. even though the hotel is located in a corner with lots of buses and people, is located near the historic center of the city and with walking distance of the places of interest. the service desk was always very professional and polite. the bell boys were very efficient and helpful. the complimentary breakfast was good. fruit, coffe, milk, fresh juices, yogurt, cereal, chilaquiles, eggs, hotcakes, bread, everyday was a variety of food. parking small but ok and safe. best deal in guadalajara. i'll be back to this hotel in my next trip.
