Great hotel for Baxley area!

Posted Jul 7, 2014
This hotel is the only hotel in Baxley with a pool. They have free breakfasts! The rooms are very nice! The management is extremely nice also. I booked this room through a third party not the hotel. Apparently the third party did not reserve the room for us. Management kindly upgraded us to a suite! They are very nice people!

Very accommodating

Posted May 21, 2013
Pros: Accommodating
Cons: In a little need of upgrading
Location: easy to find
They were very accommodating for my mom and I to make sure we had adjoining rooms and on the 1st floor. We arrived very early and they allowed us into the 1st of 2 rooms available (that was in the process of being cleaned) and let us put our stuff in the room so we could leave and meet up with our family there for the day.... They are in the middle of "remodeling/upgrading" so give them the time they will need and be patient...but it will be really nice when they are done.

Pros: nothing
Cons: up keep of hotel
Location: excellent
This hotel is in need of a major overall. Outside looks goods but inside feels, old, stale, dark& dingy. Had no record of my reservation. Since this town has a limited number of hotel options, you have nothing better to select from. The other motels are older than this one & has the same issues. Disappointed that they have allowed this hotel fall down so much. Will have find other options when I visit again.

Not a good value for the money.

Posted Oct 15, 2012
Pros: Speed of exit. Cleaning staff were nice.
Cons: Skimpy amenities provided. Mildew in the airconditioner.
Location: Good location for Baxley.
The management needs to invest more into this property. It seemed like a newer motel that has fallen on disinvestiment by a management that was looking to save on amenities. For example, there was mildew in the airconditioning unit. This could have simply been resolved by periodic changes of the air filter. The room smelled. Two small, inferior brand, of soaps were provided. Few towels. Older TV sets. This could have easily have been an excellent stay, except it seemed management skimped on the items that make a memorable stay memorable. Not a good value for the money.

Hotel is a miminum standard place.

Posted Jun 4, 2012
General appearance and condition of hotel is showing signs of neglect and degrade. Due to no other hotels in town, the hotel meets the minimum standards for staying for a very short stay. Staying more than a week at this hotel would be a great challenge.

Booked non smoking room.

Posted May 16, 2012
Pros: Continental Breakfast and checking out.
Cons: Smell of smoke.
Location: Fine
Booked nonsmoking room only to find out two doors down, were four smoking rooms on both sides of the hall! The hallway was disgusting! The smoke came in from underneath the door. We had to stuff a towel underneath door to try to get some relief. If you are going to have smoking rooms, they should be seperated by floors! Management was not very sympathetic and only sprayed the hallway . Big woo!!!

"My stay at the norman bates hotel"

Posted Nov 28, 2011
The hotel was not at all impressing. It looks better on the internet than the actual thing. First the first room we went in was too smoked out. And thts bad cause I wanted a smokers room but didn't want to die of too much smoke inhaletion while I'm sleep. The sheet had blood on them. The next room was no better. The bed was hard as sleeping on the floor.and the blankets in that room was dirty also. The room was like stay in a days inn. YUCK! Days inn probably is more luxury than the key west inn.
