We love staying here for the ocean view from our room. This was our fourth time staying and the first time we paid for an "ocean view" room with no view of the ocean (due to trees/bushes directly in front of our room). The new restaurant on property is great as well.

The shower had hair in it. The toilet ran, off and on, throughout the night. Our room was next door to the hotel laundry room. Couldn't sleep in; sounded like someone was doing construction.

Is was kinda a cluttered; boxes in many public places. There was no sense of available staff, except when you went to the front desk. Our room had evident water damage to the carpet and on the walls and ceiling. the wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling, and there were dark water stains on the carpet room. You could tell it was an old room, it needed a deer clean and come upgrades. The soda machine next to our room was beeping our entire 3 day stay

(1) The room I was given was smaller than what I reserved & seen online at a lower rate than the larger room. (2) The room was dirty, smelled like urine, & had furnishings which were ripped/torn. Because the frame on the door leading to the outside was warped, the door had to be slammed to get it to close, after which there were still gaps around the door with bugs crawling through. We did not even feel comfortable enough to unpack, use the bathroom, or sit on the bed or sofa. (3) Instead of putting a small "credit hold" on the card I used to make the reservation, shortly after we had gone to try to occupy the room, the property immediately charged my card for the full 3-day stay at the higher rate for the larger room they didn't even give us. When I went back to the lobby to ask about this, I was told that they knew they were going to have to move us to the larger room the next day. But this was not mentioned to me at check-in. I was advised that the matter could only be sorted out with the manager in the morning. So we refused the room, asked for a refund, got our bags & left. I don't even know if those charges are really going to be reversed.

Had a roach in my bathroom and sand in the sheets…the beach house restaurant was really good and you can’t beat being steps away from beach..if I had to stay on the island again it would stay at the westin for a little more money…the pictures don’t really show that it is a motel

When we arrived, there was a wedding going on in the lobby. There was barely room to check in much less hear. There were no parking spaces and we were told to ask next door if we could park there! We finally got to our room and it was moldy. There was visible mold in the bathroom/ shower. Floors were stained and carpet was gross. It was pouring rain so we didn’t want to go back and try to get another room. The lamp on the desk was broken and fell off the desk almost crushing a toe. Every time the air cut on you could smell must and mold. We were on the parking lot side so the noise continued late into the night. We walked outside to go down to the beach but weren’t allowed back in the lobby door because of the wedding. This place is not big enough for weddings. We stay at Jekyll often but couldn’t get into our regular place. We won’t go back to this hotel, as it call itself a resort, which is certainly not the case.

Extremely overpriced. For over $300 per room I expect to see a cafe or restaurant; only one ice machine at opposite of building; former hotel not renovated very well, and staff was not trained in manners.

I paid extra for NOT a partial ocean view but a full ocean view with a balcony and added the breakfast option. Our view is a green construction fence, and no breakfast. When I checked with the front desk was told that was how Expedia submitted the reservation (partial view and no breakfast) When I offered to show them my online receipt was told “it didn't matter, they were sold out and this is all they had.”

I really enjoyed the stay at this hotel. Nice size rooms and facilities. Little things that hinder your stay when you have to ask for towels and toilet paper each day. But the beach and swimming pool was very nice and very convenient.

Property was nice and clean. Did have issues with check in. Manager would not let us check in until they had towels. At 4:30 she decided she would let us check in without towels after several people wanted discounts for rooms not being ready.

I love the big picture windows where the ocean view is stunning! I enjoyed the fire pit and the proximity to the beach! This beach is so flat here and so walkable! The property is clean and staff was friendly and accommodating. This property is not a brand new property! But we picked this place because we don't like looking at lots of other hotels and condos! We loved having a beach that was NOT crowded! Thank you for providing us with a wonderful beach stay!
