"I’m fairly sensitive to smells, and they do use an air freshener of sorts to mask it, but upon walking in you can definitely tell there has been some combination of smoking and pets in the room at some point. It’s not terrible, just noticeable when I first walked in. There are some mysterious building noises, repeated creaking/tapping sounds etc, but I put on my noise machine and slept just fine. "My husband and I enjoyed our stay. He fished, I sat on the wooden swing. We saw deer, and watched a mink along the river several times. This is in close proximity to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain State Park. I messaged the owners twice and received prompt attention. The traffic noise is a bit heavy but definitely not a deal breaker for us. I highly recommend a stay here"

"Our party included three generations; the youngest member being 9 years old. We had plenty of room, the kitchen was large and fully stocked with appliances, and the beds were warm and comfy. We all appreciated the Christmas tree and decorations. It made our holiday much more festive. But the best part, by far, was the sleds. We had a wonderful Christmas Eve sledding party! My nephew, the 9 year old, sledded everyday and says this was the best Christmas!"

"This was a great place to gather with family. We are all adults that do not require high end stays to appreciate our surroundings or each other. Not fancy by any means, but serves as a great place to gather & rest your head. Limited supplies in kitchen so come prepared and bring your own water. Faucet water is not clear in color, so bring plenty of drinking water too! Beautiful surroundings right outside your door."

"The lodge had had a fire 4 months previous that we were not told about when we made our reservations. You can imagine our surprise when we got there, but the new property management worked with us to get us a condominium. It was lovely and comfortable and clean. They were very accomodating. "

"My first bad review ever — We made a reservation through Expedia. We showed up to no one there. No answer on the phone number listed. We contacted Expedia. They could not get in touch with the owners at any number, published or private to Expedia. It took over an hour on the phone with Expedia but they got us another room in another town. Thanks to Expedia we ended up at a much better place. This place is run down looking and old. I would not recommend it."
