Independent Mammoth Lakes hotels in Mammoth Lakes Ski Area, California

We went here for Thanksgiving with our 2 kids. We accidentally booked ourselves into a tiny room, and the staff went out of their way to find more suitable accomodations. We ended up in a cabin and they gave us a great deal on it. The cabin was roomy and very clean, and had a great fireplace. We were able to rent a TV, DVDs and board games from the front desk, which was great. There was plenty of sledding on the grounds, and we were able to get more sleds from the front desk as well! We had Thanksgiving Dinner at their restaurant, and it was excellent. No complaints, except that the furniture could use some reupholstery and some tile in the showers would be nice! But it was a great place to take our family and the staff couldn't have been nicer. We also loved the rustic charm of the main lodge, and enjoyed sitting by the fireplace there.

Wonderful stay all-around...

Location is perfect, int he Mammoth village, 50 yds to town gondola. Staff pleasant. Excellent location at night to restaurants and bars. I was charged a $20.00 "resort fee" but did not use the facilities. Only irritation was being charged $13.00 for a small bar of bath soap. I have stayed all over the world, and have never been charged such a ridiculous amount for a bar of soap that is normally included in the price of the room.

The mountain is a 5 minute drive or bus ride to the mountain (the bus stops right out in front of the hotel). There was a free continental breakfast every morning which included, fresh bagels, cereal, coffee, etc. which was really convenient. There was a great little living room to eat breakfast in. Great hot tub right outside our room which we could access from our deck and the hotel room included a pull-out sofa bed so the three of us each had a separate place to sleep. The hotel manager could not have been more friendly.

This place was so much better than I expected. Staff was great, room was incredibly nice and very big and comfortable. Price was unbeatable. Location was very very convenient as well. On top of all of that, it's incredibly dog friendly--which made things that much better. Plus it has a gym, pool table, & spa.

It was great location very convenient for families rental and snowboarding it's a one stop place The kitchenette saved us from leaving the hotel and having to go get food ideal!

We had 7 people and there was plenty of room for all of us to sleep and store our things. The cabin was cozy and the fireplace was great for after a long day of skiing. The kitchen was stocked with all utensils and cookware we needed.

I was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the condo. The owner has taken great care to make sure that every comfort was thought of. I will definitely be back when I am in the area.

Great staff! I checked in very late and they did everything to see that my room was not taken.

The bar restaurant didn't have enough waiters and my son ordered mac and cheese on Wed night March 26tha dn he got pasta with sauce, very weird. Other than that the food was excellent, service a bit lacking because of storm, or not enough staff. Overall the food was amazing.
