Terrible customer service

The house keeping staff were friendly. The front desk was HORRENDOUS. I asked for dinner recommendations and was told, "um, well everything is pretty much the same it doesn't matter where you go." How useful. On the second night, my friends and I decided to buy last minute tickets to a concert. I have never been denied the ability to print something, until now. I was told they were unable to print or download anything "incase it is porn." The next day as I am checking out, the same woman who told me I couldn't print, very sweetly offered to let another guest print directions. I am not sure what I did to offend the front staff, but apparently something.

Beautiful harbor view, loved the location!

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Hotel room was spacious, clean and the view of the harbor was amazing! I was very impressed with the location, right next to restaurants, shops and transportation rentals. Was pleased not pay additional daily parking fees like most surrounding hotels. I am looking forward to my next visit!

Pros: very convenient to fine stores, restaurants the . Mansions" etc. It was very clean and had enough amenities, especially the roof top deck.
Cons: A. more accessible Handicapped parking places and ample room to turn a large vehicle around. B. have a second elevator installed maybe even a third.
Location: Went to Festival on Sunday. fantastic. Enjoyed visiting a couple of the Mansiions.
I am Handicapped and have a large vehicle. there was only one parking place and the turning around was nearly impossible. Fortunately there was a Handicapped place close bye on the street. This should be addressed. On Tuesday morning there were not suitcase transporters in the lobby so I had to wait for a staff member to retrieve one so I could get my bags down to lobby. Worse was the unnecessary waiting for the elevator as it was being used by not only many other guests checking out, but the maid service.

great location for access to Thames St area

Pros: It location to Thames St and the Tennis hall of fame
Cons: It`s a bit dated compared to newer hotels and should be upgraded with better Airconditioning in the room
Location: Tennis Hall of Fame and lots of good places to eat and enjoy
Great location. Room was comfortable. Expedia said when booking room that there would be 2 queen beds plus a pull out cot, when we checked in, this facility only has 1 queen bed and a pull out cot. This should be corrected on the expedia booking site, as it did cause us some issues for the 4 adults we had in room.

Pros: Location. Front Desk staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Did not realize when we booked that this was a "time share" property. The marketing material should be more informative.
Location: All of Newport Harbor activities right at your doorstep
No amenities to speak of but the location offset any lack of on-site conveniences.

Did not know we had a timeshare unit

Pros: Convenient location
Cons: Update the building, let potential guests know they are not staying in an inn, but a timeshare
Subsequently, housekeeping never showed up - no fresh towels, made bed or vacuumed floor. We were told that due to the fact it was a timeshare unit, housekeeping cleans once per week. The building is old and shows it - popcorn ceilings, oldstyle fire sprinklers with exposed pipes, tiny elevators with cramped doors, narrow interior hallways. For what we paid for the two nights there, I certainly expected better. The staff was very friendly and as helpful as they could be, and the view was great, but we won't go back. Had we known it was a timeshare, we would have made a different decision.

Excellent location for eating and shopping

Will recommend hotel for off- season getaway, very good price! Very clean and the suite had everything you could need (small kitchen with everything). It was too bad that the restaurant bar and grille (in the hotel) had not opened for the season yet! The girl at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We were able to check in at 1:00 PM, which was great!! Free hotel parking was another asset (parking in Newport is not good).

I guess you can say that we came away from our weekend stay with no impression. We were neither disappointed or impressed. First, the good. You can not beat the location. Close to everything. The free parking was also an added bonus. Room was bigger than we thought. Staff was friendly and helpful. The not so good. queen beds seem smaller than a queen. You walk into the bedroom with is right next to the hallway which was loud at times. Requested a habour view and we got it if we pressed aganist the window and looked to our right. Went during the off-seaon so we had to run the water at each sink to flush out pipes from lack of use. Very hard to control bedroom temp as unit was not in room and had to heat/cool entire unit before it got to bedroom. But again not enough to ruin the stay just not ideal. Really bad, bathroom in lobby area was disgusting and unclean at 10:30 am. Overall, again average stay and we got what we paid for.

Pros: size and accomodations in room. View of the bay. quiet.
Cons: As mentioned above, tvs should be HD models. A gym if there isn't one.
Location: We were in Newport. Activities wre centered around mansion tours and dining.
Room was surprisingly large with good facilities...kitchenette etc. Was actaully surprised to find the pull - out couch, though we didnt need that. Didn't know that you had dvd rentals until later in our stay - that could have been better communiated. TV's should probably be updated to HD models. Don't know if you had a work out gym facility, but were I staying longer would want that. Staf was very helpful. Good experience.
