Overall a disappointing stay. The staff were nice, but the building is definitely vintage. The elevator "lift" is a bit small and the gates are janky. If you are claustrophobic, I wouldn't recommend. It's was about a 3'x4' box. The size issue extends to the bathroom shower... Only a 2.5'x2.5' area with about a 20" entrance. Glad I'm a "small" person. Someone on the larger side wouldn't fit. The "area" rug over the hardwood floors was thread-bare, and the walls, being vintage, allowed a lot of sound through. I guess I shouldn't have stayed on Cinco-de-Mayo... An adjactent restaurant had their outdoor sound system set up, and partied loudly well into the night (being reverberated throughout this vintage building...). And finally, make sure to bring extra $$ for parking, as there are only paid lots and structures in the area, with many structures not allowing overnight parking. So overall, I was quite disappointed. What I had hoped would be a nice visit to Providence to see my family, turned out to be an exhausting stay at a somewhat noisy and "compact" hotel...
