The tub in the room did not look clean at all. the rub appears like it needs to be redone but the rest of the room was nice.

Lobby looks great. And that's where they put their $. Room felt like we'd stepped into the 1950's - wish I'd taken a photo of the radiator cover - reminded me of Grandma's house. Speaking of radiators. Ours sounded like a NASA test shot - a loud roaring followed by intermittent stuttering gasps. Speaking of stuttering gasps - that describes the water pressure, weak with a chance of something.We'd looked forward to using the pool, which looked lovely, but there had been an "incident" (read: Code Brown) and so... Bright spot - our waitress at the overpriced buffet was lovely. If only she could shine her light on the rest of it.

We had a suite and the chairs and sofa were extremely uncomfortable. The bathroom door barely clears the toilet and there was a musty smell in there. Not visibly dirty or mildew , however, just a faint odor. The staff at the coffee cafe was awesome for breakfast. NOT open for evening snack or drinks!

The rooms were old. The shower head was coming out of the wall and the drain cover was rusted. Noticed some stains on the towels and hair in the shower that was not ours. The rooms are not cleaned on a multi day stay unless you let them know 24 hours in advance. The location is convenient but that’s about it. I will not be back.

Paying 250$ plus a night, you’d expect a little kindness. The front desk staff was quite unwelcoming and made us feel like we were a burden for her to check us in. The cleanliness of the shower was a little off putting. It had yellow stains everywhere and had a smell. I’ve been using Marriott for years now and this experience has maybe deterred me to look elsewhere. This was my wife and I’d first year wedding anniversary and it’s a shame the hotel wasn’t a great experience.

Close to the capitol which was the reason for the stay. - Check in staff not friendly - breakfast options minimal - only a few staff knew locations of tourist attractions. While other staff called for the "knowing" staff that pulled them away from their work. A handbook or something should be available to help staff unfamiliar with the area.
