Very comfortable and safe.

Posted May 2, 2015
Pros: I like how the rooms are so close to the pools.
Always feel safe here. Great salads. My favorite is their peel and eat shrimp. In addition, the Sunday live band kicks it up a notch with great 1960 and 1970 tunes. Fun time.

The toilet and fridge ran very loudly. The sliding closet was broken..Our room wasn't ready until 40 minutes past check in time...patio and pool furniture was old and outdated.. Karaoke was fun!.. The bartender took a break and no one knew how to make us a cocktail..that's about all..not worth $300 per night..

Tired and in need of renovation

Posted Mar 26, 2015
This hotel desperately needs an update. The furniture was stained, the carpet sour-smelling. The pools were well-kept and the property has potential, but I would not stay there again.

Clean but outdated

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: The pool area was nice
Cons: Re-do the rooms, some nice mattresses and bathroom counters would really make a difference.
Location: Small town far away from the rest of the dessert spots (Palm Dessert, Palm Springs etc.)
The room was clean, however, the décor and facilities have not been updated in a very long time... 80'ish

Never again...

Posted Mar 15, 2015
I felt like I took a time machine back to sometime in the 1980's. The room looks like it has not been updated since then. The blankets were hideous. The curtains had stains. There was also a pubic hair in the bathtub. We stayed two nights and not once did housekeeping come to clean. We came here because of the pools but didn't get to use them because the weather was really bad and windy. The heater stopped working after the first night so we were freezing the second night. We brought our own blanket because we didn't want to use theirs and unfortunately left it in the room and checked out. An hour later, I called the motel to ask them if they found it. The staff was nice and said they would mail it etc and took my number and said they would call me to let me know if they found it. I never received a call back so I called again. Again, they seemed to not know what happened to the blanket and said they would call back. Never received a call. I called back the next day and they said there was no blanket which I'm sure is in the trunk of the housekeeper right now. Horrible horrible horrible. Would never go back. Would never recommend for anyone to spend a penny here.

dated place

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: Mineral pools open 24 hours a day.
Cons: Hotel rooms need updating.
Location: Palm Springs close by.
Great pools open 24 hours a day, but place is very old and outdated. Rooms need to be updated without losing the charm. Also new mattresses on beds. Balconies need cleaning. Ants also need to be taken care of. Place has a real charm to it, felt secure staying there. Pools were excellent.

In desperate need of complete remodel

Posted Feb 24, 2015
With some work this could be a really nice hotel. Unfortunately our stay was one disappointment after another. We arrived early to take advantage of the pools. The locker room smelled of mold and most of the lockers were broken. The pools weren't clean with lots of unidentifiable things floating in it. We decided to try the hotel restaurant for lunch since there aren't many options nearby. The service and the food was terrible. The 3pm check-in was a extended until 430pm because according to the desk clerk "the room hadn't been cleaned yet". When we were finally able to get to our room we found it very run down. I had to push on the door with my shoulder & full weight just to get it open. The shower was just as difficult to turn on and the toilet made a horrible noise when the tank was refilling. The only positive thing about the room was the balcony. I was traveling with my 76 year old mother and if she had been alone or with another senior they would not have been able to operate the shower or open the door. We ventured over to the hotel next door for dinner and we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious dinner and the cleanliness and condition of the hotel and pools. Steer clear of the Desert Hot Springs Hotel and spend a few extra dollars to stay next door at Miracle Springs.

Horrible!

Posted Feb 24, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: everything
Location: very run down area
The hotel was old and falling apart. I paid for a room with 2 queens. When I got to the room there was one queen and one double bed. The room smelled like an old bar - stale alcohol and cigarettes and the beds were saggy with ancient bedspreads. The carpet was bare and the paint was peeling. This hotel is located in a very poor, dilapidated area - very different from Palm Springs. Once I saw the condition of my room I immediately went to the front desk to complain that I had a double bed instead of a queen. To their credit they canceled my reservation so that I could get a refund through Expedia. All I can say is that I was relieved that I didn't have to spend the night in this run down hotel.
