smelly smokey room!

Posted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: The staff was really nice and polite and the shuttle driver Ken was a cool guy
Cons: smell of room
Location: Pittsburgh's awesome bar "The Beer Market" has about 300 or more different beers!! Primanti Bros. sandwiches are phenomenal & have good beer selection
Well i was supposed to have a non smoking room, but they were all out of them, and because expedia booked it, there was nothing they could do since they were non-vacancy for the opening Steelers home NFL game. The room had some scary stains on the floor, stunk bad like smoke, and was muggy stuffy even with the swamp cooler on.

just a bed for 8 hours of sleep.

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: It was close to Heinz Field
Cons: OMG EVERYTHING. The staff, cleaniness, the breakfast
Location: just heinz field
The daytime check in person was soooo rude. She was very unfriendly because we interrupted her personal phone call so we could check in. OMG we wanted to check in. The continental breakfast was very poor. Very little to eat and not much in quality or quantaty. The rooms very smelly not clean. Spiderwebs everywhere, but the t.v. was good it worked.

Near downtown Pittsburgh

Mold on the shower head and curtain. Nothing plugged in when we entered...clock, TV, and fridge. I guess the electric bill must be too high.

Good Game Day Stay

Posted Sep 8, 2014
This was my second stay here & I'll come back in the future. It's an old hotel, sure, but Pittsburgh is an old town. For me & my 16 year old son it was the best choice. Location is excellent, price was under $100 for a night & very easy access to all points. The staff was friendly & courteous. Our neighbors were a little rowdy but so be it. No problems from them. All in all, you get what you pay for and this Days Inn fit my needs.

Price was right

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Price
Cons: Bathroom, while overall was OK, had some buildup in corners and overall, the hotel could use some updating.
This was the cheapest place I could find for opening day of the Steelers season, as we basically just needed a place to sleep for 8 hours - in late/out early. Rooms were clean, not immaculate. Staff did their job, but not over accommodating. I would stay there again under the similar situation.

Great location despite the road work

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: Staff was very friendly.
Cons: The room had an awful smell. Luckily I was able to use some air freshener and make it better. The breakfast really wasn't much of a breakfast.
Location: The location was very convenient for getting in and out of the city.
The woman at the front desk was super friendly and very helpful.

close to business meeting

Posted Aug 28, 2014
Pros: food and staff
Cons: upgrade the rooms so they can be cleaned and stay clean
Location: 1 restaurant down the street, 1 Indian cuisine in the hotel. Free parking outside city.
The breakfast was good. The staff was nice. The room was dirty and beat up. This is an inner city hotel which gets abused by its patrons. The patrons also woke me up several times in the night with music, door slamming, and banging.
