Depends on what you care about mostPosted Apr 27, 2015
The Wharf Inn has a few benefits and a few issues as well. The Good News: Unbeatable location - easy walk to ANY tourist spot - Pier 39, Alcatraz Landing, Fishermans Wharf, Ghiradelli Square, Exploratorium, cable cars, etc. Free Parking - depending on length of stay, can save you hundreds... Nice staff, clean room and decent beds... The Bad News Dated interiors - definitely needs some fresh paint, new furniture and bath fixtures. Crazy water temp fluctuations - will drive you nuts although we did manage to find the "magic spot" on the knob that maintained a consistent temp. No A/C - not a big deal in April, but a consideration for a July/August stay. Overall, I guess it depends on what is most important to you. If location and saving some cash matters most, go for it! If your hotel needs to meet higher comfort standards and has to offer amenities, you may want look elsewhere... I'd recommend it for a 1-2 night stay, maybe for 3 nights.

Fantastic location!Posted Apr 22, 2015
Cons: The lobby needs a restroom.
Location: It's near to bus tours, public transport and Fisherman's Wharf with all its attractions.
The Wharf Inn is more of a motel than a hotel... basic, clean, safe. The location is near to every single thing and there's free parking if you need it. The staff excel at offering directions and suggestions in a very friendly manner. But the lobby is small and has no restroom if you've checked out and need to wait in the lobby for your ride or for whatever reason.

Helt ok hotell. Toppen med gratis parkering och bra läge precis vid Fishermans Wharf. Rummet var ganska stort och rent.

Clean but old and expensive. Close to Fishermen's Wharf is the only benefit.

Great location and cleanPosted Apr 5, 2015
Very clean rooms. Great location and parking. No frills for sure but who spends time in the room in such a magnificent city anyway?

We've stayed here twice, and we'd stay here again!Posted Apr 4, 2015
Pros: The staff was very kind and accommodating. They stored our bags for us prior to check in and at check out, and printed out our boarding passes for us.
Location: Fabulous location on the Wharf. Tours, cruises and cable cars just a short walk away. Have stayed downtown, but prefer staying on Fisherman's Wharf!
Yes, it's an older motel, but we don't have issues with that like some people do. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. We occasionally heard some noise from the outside, but nothing that was bothersome. There is a 7-11 and Subway right across the street which was convenient for when we needed drinks, snacks or something quick for breakfast. The price was very reasonable for such a great location right on the Wharf. The only problem that we had was that the water temperature in one of our rooms wasn't very hot in the shower, but nothing to get upset about. We have stayed here before and had a good experience, so we went back and were not disappointed. We would definitely stay here again.

Walking distance to EVERYTHING!Posted Apr 4, 2015
Pros: Location, staff, cleanliness, bed, safe
Cons: space in the room was tight
Location: Pier 41, Pier 39, Tours, Bike rentals, Museums
Not only did this hotel have the right price, but the right place as well. Parking is provided, which as you know is not the easiest to find in San Francisco. The staff was very kind and excited to answer any questions. The bed was crazy comfortable! The room was very clean. They even leave some Ghiradelli chocolates for you. The hotel was very easy to find, and within walking distance of almost anything you would want to see or do. I also felt very safe here, because in order to access the room you need a keycard to get in. They provide you with maps and tons of freebies. I would definitely stay here again.

Only good thing is the locationPosted Apr 3, 2015
If you want to hear everything your neighbors ate doing, the room next to yours, above you and under you than this place is for you. Mold in the bathroom huge stains on the chairs, plus to much other stuff to write about. Just avoid this place like the plague.
