Friendly family run hotel next to beachPosted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: It's a family atmosphere rather than just being a room number as in bigger hotels. Beach just a few metres away and restaurants all around.
Cons: Maybe a different choice of breakfast sometimes otherwise it was more than adequate.
Location: On the main strip but at the quieter end and easy reach of town centre with all amenities. Right next to beach and supermarkets.
We booked this hotel with friends and family so we could all be together as a family member was getting married. The hotel staff was so kind and helpful . They pick you up from the airport and can drop you back which saves the problem of waiting for coaches and being at the airport so early. Cleaners came every day and all staff very friendly and helped when a problem arose.

Warm and welcoming family run hotelPosted Aug 2, 2014
Pros: Warm and friendly atmosphere.
Cons: Nothing springs to mind.
Location: Ideal for both beach activities and touring the island.
A really warm (and I don't mean only the weather - at 35 degrees!) and welcoming family run hotel. Nothing was too much trouble and as I was staying as one of a number of wedding guests, everyone was able to relax and have quality time together before the "Big Day"! It was also an ideal location for getting out and about to explore the Island. The complementary transport from the Airport to the hotel on arrival was most welcome after a long flight, and worked effortlessly.

Ahhhhhh-mazing stayPosted Jun 25, 2014
Great vacation at the boathouse. We were housed in room #8 which had a wonderful balcony overlooking the pool and beach. The room was great. We enjoyed the spaciousness of this hotel as compared to the closet sized room we had in Athens. Staff was extremely friendly and speaks excellent English. Wether you chose to sit at the beach or by the pool to relax you will love the boathouse hotel. They bend over backwards to ensure your stay is nothing but great....I am planning a return trip and hope that my hotel will be available. Great value

Very nicePosted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: The family feel
Cons: Nothing, loved it as it was.
Location: Location was excellent and on the beach close to all the bars restaurants etc. the picturesque towns of Thira and Oia were only a bus ride away.
Loved staying here, very friendly family run hotel on the beach. Breakfast was very good and the swimming pool area, relaxing. Diane, and any member of staff, were always willing to help and do anything for you.

Lovely Little HotelPosted Jun 7, 2014
Pros: Nice facilities, very friendly staff, great convenient location, free breakfast and wifi, room size and sea view.
Cons: Not enough hot water to shower, but I can imagine this happens to many hotels in the area as most of them are powered by solar panels.
Location: Plenty of restaurants, shops, many beaches around, sightseeing spots, water sports areas, very close to the airport and to bus stop for connections.
We stayed in this hotel in late May, and we had a fantastic time. The staff particularly are extremely friendly and helpful. The facilities are very nice and inviting. Especially the bar serves amazing cocktails for you to enjoy by the pool at reasonable prices. Our room was quite big although simple, with a king size bed, and a lovely big balcony terrace on the front, overlooking the sea. The location is great, right on the seafront and there are many restaurants right outside the hotel as well as shops for your convenience. Some sightseeing points are also a stones throw away from the hotel, such as Ancient Thira, the famous local Wine Museum, and a lovely open-air cinema all within walking distance. The bus stop for connections to the center and other parts of the island is also very close to the hotel within a short walk distance. There is also easy access to other beaches like Perissa beach, which is only about 5 minutes by boat from Kamari Beach. A breakfast buffet and wifi included are included the price which is very convenient. Overall a very nice hotel in every way. We will definitely stay again!

Friendly family run hotelPosted Jun 5, 2014
Warm and friendly welcome - could not have been more helpful. Being female on my own they made me feel comfortable. It was easy to meet people and chat and also nice to have some time to relax quietly - great environment for a group - the bar is small and personal. Good location for walking out at night as right on front and near all tavernas. Cleaners do an excellent job. Would not hesitate to return to stay there.

Attractive hotel right opposite the beachPosted Oct 13, 2013
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful and the pool was very clean and appealing.
Cons: The rooms could be improved a bit so they don't look so basic. Most British people appreciate a kettle in the room, including us. Better hairdrier.
Location: Great location right opposite the black beach. Beach chairs and umbrellas very reasonable. Buses nearby to main towns. Trips to volcanoes, etc.
The first impression from the outside was very good. We were met by a very friendly, helpful member of staff who showed us to our room. The room was very clean but definitely basic. However it had a fridge which was necessary during the summer for water, etc. The hairdrier was very small and needed a good clean as it was sticky from previous guests hair products and was not really up to the job as it cut out after a few minutes on the high heat. The shower was hand-held, which is always a bit tricky, but I think this is intentional as they don't want you to get too comfortable and use lots of water! We asked about upgrading but the cost of that was astronomical so we decided to stay put. The room was adequate for our purpose. It was cleaned daily and the linen and towels replaced twice a week. Only breakfast was available, unlike all the other hotels along the beach. During the rest of the day and evening only cold drinks were available.
