Poor Service

The staff at this Quality Inn in Canton, Tx were very rude and most of them spoke poor English. Each time I had to go to service desk there was no one available to help me and once I rang the service bell, it took several minutes before anyone came to assist me. My family and I were also not satisfied with the rooms and the room keys did not work properly. Overall bad experience!! Will not be staying here on our next trip to Canton!!!

Our light did not work over the vanity and lights are limited in a hotel room. Our refrigerator did not work. And our stopper in our tub did not work. Other than those things our stay was fine.

Unquality inn

When I got there I had to wait in the long for 10 min until someone showed up. They couldn't help me so I waited another 5 min until another guy showed up and checked us in. Our room had no toilet paper, 1 wash rag and our credit card was charged $108.00 instead of the $74 I was told.

first Monday weekend

Pros: convenient
Cons: extra cleaning staff on the first weekend, when the town is full of out of town people.
Location: location was good and several places to eat around close to the hotel.
Our reservations and rooms was in order, however. We check in at 4:15 p.m. and the room still wasn't cleaned. We left and went and ate a early dinner and when we returned it was ready for us at that time. I thought on the First Monday at Canton Texas that they would have had more personnel since that is the towns bread and butter on that weekend. It was 100 plus outside and we were ready for a shower and some cool air time before dinner. At 4:15 p.m. we thought our rooms were ready for us to cool off and enjoy. Overall we would return because the room was nice once we got in it.

We (4 ladies) stayed here May 31 - June 3, 2013, for the Canton Trade Days. We had a ground floor room so we didn't have to worry about having to drag our suitcases upstairs. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. I was very pleased to see when they cleaned the room next door that they stripped the comforters also and put new ones on. The continental breakfast was wonderful. We ate there every morning. There was cereal, muffins, Danish rolls, plain and whole wheat toast, sausage and biscuits, and you could make your own waffles. The waffles were in the shape of the state of Texas! The food was kept replenished and there was plenty even when we overslept one morning. The hotel does have some maintenance problems. The ice machine on the first floor was broken, and when I chose a Diet Coke from the drink machine, I got a Sprite instead. It happened again the next day. Obviously someone had put the wrong drinks in the slots, but they didn't attempt to fix it after it was brought to their attention the first time. Two of the three flights of stairs to the second floor on the front were blocked off with yellow tape because some of the steps were missing. The hotel location is very convenient. It is right off I-20 on the same road that the trade day grounds are on. There is a Denny's, two Mexican restaurants, a Dairy Queen, and, I think, a Wendy's close by. We will definitely stay there again.

First Monday Canton's Trade Days weekend

Pros: convenience, clean, nice breakfast, staff nice & helpful.
Location: Close to all the things going on Canton weekend. Plenty of restaurants close by.
Hotel was very nice. We had some teenagers next door one night that was quite loud but they finally settled down and everyone finally got some sleep. Next night was better (they left).

Pros: It was close to First Monday Flea Market
Cons: waiting for towels and the price for the room
Location: The location was good but they need to upgrade the rooms and buy more towels and wash clothes
We stayed at the Canton TX Quality Inn & Suites. The property had broken cement on the stairs to the second floor. In the room the fire alarms were pulled away from the ceiling and hanging down by wires. On our third day we had to ask for clean towels and washclothes. They informed us they didn't have enough towels and we would have to wait until the towels came out of the dryer. We had one of the King suites and it was not worth the price. The closet/tv amoire were placed in the room so you could not see the TV from the bed. And they have double billed us for our stay.

Cons: Price, cleanliness, water tempature and breakfast.
Location: Location was near restaurants and not too far from Trade days.
The room was just ok and the bed was hard. I would recommend you take your own pillow. The bathroom was NOT clean, the tub was dirty and the floor needed to be moped. The water temp. could NOT be adjusted it was either HOT or COLD. There is NO in between. My daughter chose HOT and her skin was red and burned. I chose cold and it was COLD! The breakfast was not so great either. THIS HOTEL WAS WAY OVERPRICED!!!
