Beautiful modern hotel right on the beachPosted May 21, 2014
Pros: Everything was immaculate and right on the beach.
Location: It's right on the beach, you can stroll down the beach for 5 mins to a great little restaurant.
This is a beautiful hotel. All the rooms were to a very high standard and very modern. It almost felt like we were staying in someone's home, rather than a hotel, which was nice. The staff were very friendly. And the sea views are to die for!

Fantastic view from room. Wonderful staff.Posted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: The free flowing lay out and easy access to all the amenities. Plus the 'honesty' bar.
Cons: As previously stated - privacy to the ground floor bedrooms.
Location: Location fantastical. Local to George and as golfers, several golf courses. The trip to Sedgefield market was in easy reach too.
We had a great 5 days here. Our room was perfect other than people were able to walk directly past the windows on the their way to the beach or main lounge which made it feel a little intrusive. The staff were fantastic looking after us in every way. With a little thought to the privacy arrangement outside the bedroom this would be a very amazing guest house.

The perfect place to stayPosted Dec 10, 2012 on Hotels.com
We stayed for 3 nights and wish it had been longer. The Ocean View is fabulous, well situated and beautifully furnished. Harm is the perfect host and instantly made us feel wlecome and valued visitors. The room was very well equipped plus a stunning view of the beach and ocean. Harm rcommended some excellent local restaurants within walking distance. We will definitely return to The Ocean View.

Everything was perfect. the view right on the beach, the breakfast each morning with fresh squeezed orange juice, the private decks outside each room. We staye in the cheapest room #4 and felt as though we had half the deck to ourselves! only saw other people at breakfast, it was great! the beach right down the stairs was spectacular as we had our morning coffee on the sand before the complimentary breakfast. The showers were amazing... can't say enough nice things about our experience! Definitely recommend Wilderness to Knysna, much quieter beach town feel.

An oasis in the wildernessPosted Nov 8, 2011
First class hotel service and accommodation which met our expectations and more. Arrived late, due to our golf tee-time,but were assured a hearty,if somewhat worried welcome as they thought we'd got lost. Lovely dinner in Italian restaurant in town. Woke up to the sound of crashing waves in the morning and had an unbeatable breakfast. Would not hesitate to recommend this place to all out friends. Infact, will insist they stay there.
