The room needs updatingPosted Jun 27, 2015
Pros: VERY comfortable bed and pillows!!!!!!!
Cons: Update the rooms and bathrooms.
Location: Location good for trips to Yosemite.
Room run down and needs updating badly. They advertise free WiFi but I could never get a connection. Several hairs on the bath tub ledge, yuk!

Good motelPosted Jun 23, 2015
Pros: location, outdoor pool
Cons: room very dark (lighter carpets would help)
Location: plenty of places to eat nearby, & good for Yosemite as long as you're not visiting it more than once or twice
Was a good hotel with all the basic amenities plus an outdoor pool within a couple minutes walk of Mariposa. Breakfast was as expected for American hotels - had all the basics & had a bigger breakfast room than most we saw on our trip. We chose it for the location, as we were visiting Yosemite, & any places nearer were either a lot more money, or seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. However after driving into the park 3 days in a row we wished we'd chosen somewhere closer, and as we were quite late back at then end of our days out only ate out in Mariposa once.

Pros: Great breakfast bar. lots of room in breakfast area.
Cons: Internet service was spotty in evening when motel was full, got kicked off internet a lot, worked fine in mornings and afternoons when not busy.
Location: A little over an hours drive from Yosemite.
Liked the motel, had a great time visiting Yosemite

Ordentliches Hotel direkt am Eingang zum YosemitePosted Jun 5, 2015
Schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, trotzdem ein für amerikanische Hotels sehr ordentliches Haus zu einem annehmbaren Preis.

Hotel staff was very friendlyPosted May 31, 2015
Pros: Location, Staff was friendly, Breakfast
Cons: Wifi connection, update rooms, more seating in breakfast, better temperature control in shower
Location: very close (walkable) to the restaurants and town area, and a short drive to Yosemite National Park
Not a horrible place to stay, but I was disappointed in the room we had at the Comfort Inn Yosemite Valley Gateway. It's an expensive area to stay in, and our room didn't add up to the value. There is no cell service (not something hotel can change, but...) and the wifi didn't work either, we had a great deal of trouble trying to use internet. Not a major problem, but very annoying when we were trying to plan out our day in Yosemite for the following day. The water temperature changed from scolding hot to freezing cold several times during my shower. The room itself was very run down, it would use a remodel. The continental breakfast was good, but we had to eat in the lobby as the eating area was completly full around 8:30am (I assume this hotel is fully booked most of the travel season, I'm sure they run into that issue often). Staff was extremely friendly.

Close to Yosemite - quiet little townPosted May 17, 2015
Pros: Quiet, maybe we just got lucky and no one was upstairs.
Cons: I like a thin blanket as well as a comforter so I have a choice.
Location: Pizza place was good and close. Subway not too far. Quaint shops. Saloon/dining sports bar. Saloons with numerous beers on tap, closed on Sunday.
Nice hotel, it is a block off the main street on a hill, we missed it first pass through town. We could walk to wander through some antique shops and tourist novelties, restaurants and saloons. Sunday evening and off season so not much going on. It was a 45 min drive to the Yosemite West entrance, which we got an early start since free breakfast was ready at 6AM! It was a good breakfast with sausages and eggs, waffles, etc. I have stayed at a hotel closer to Yosemite and paid twice as much, for the same basic room and no breakfast. Rooms are basic but comfortable, lots of towels which we didn't need this time but I really appreciate. Pool area nicely maintained, lots of flowering plants around the campus. Be aware that the site is not level, so the parking lot has some angles, more of an issue in wet weather.

Only stayed there because others were booked.Posted May 13, 2015
Mold in the bathroom sink caulk and on walls and ceiling. Coffee pot was not clean. Bedspreads were stained. Toilet paper holders were rusty.
